Love these. The variety of sizes are ideal for different products, they look great, and the lids are easy to open with one hand and seal very well. At first I filled one to the top with a powder and the powder got in the lid so I wasn’t getting a good seal. Decreased amount and washed the lid and the seal was great. Would definitely recommend.
These ceramic jars are very well made and come with silicone lids to keep your dry goods fresh.The ceramic construction is strong and has the usual glaze to make it impervious to moisture and air and to keep your dry goods fresh. We selected the green color and couldn't be happier as it matches our decor perfectly and it is a beautiful shade of green. The color is Rich and deep and I'm sure the other color choices are equally beautiful.With all the cautions about using plastic these days, glass or stainless steel containers are far more attractive and safe to use for any foods.These can be safely put into the dishwasher, although if using them for storing dry goods a quick rinse is easy and likely more than adequate.The silicone lids are super easy to operate and do not have moving parts or any stiff plastic parts that could crack over time as they are made of a soft silicone. Silicone remains soft and flexible for a very long lifetime.To seal the lid you just push down on the raised area in the center of the lid until it's below the top of the ceramic container. Don't pull that same center handle to remove them because that puts more stress than you want on the silicone. Instead, grab the edge and lift and it will easily come off.Many similar storage containers have hard plastic lids that loosen over time and eventually become useless. I have a feeling this softer silicone material is going to retain its shape and resiliency over time and continue to provide a hermetic seal to protect your foods.At $33 for the set they end up costing $11 each, but given the strength, inherit beauty, unobtrusive look and excellent hermetic seal they are well worth the money.
These canisters are really pretty! They are the perfect size for my needs and compliment my decor very well.The multiple sizes also work for what I needed them for and don't take up an unreasonable amount of counter space, for those of us who like less clutter on their kitchen countertops!The single reason I didn't give them five stars was the seal on the suction feature wasn't what I would normally want for storing salt and sugar and such. It does seal, but not as well as advertised.
With all of the issues that I hear plastic, especially with using plastic for cooking & storing food, I'm always on the lookout for kitchen items that are made from healthier materials.I've been looking to replace my plastic flour, sugar & salt canisters for a while, so I couldn't wait to try these ceramic canisters with silicone lids.Let me tell you, these lovely canisters do not disappoint!All of the materials are high quality - the ceramic is thick & sturdy, and the silicone lids are well made and fit the containers perfectly, forming an air tight, suction like seal that gives me confidence it will keep my food fresh.The shape and design are aesthetically pleasing - I love the way the bottom is square, but the top opening is round! In my humble opinion, these will fit well into any kitchen decor.I got the "orange" (see pics) hoping they would look like terra cotta, which they absolutely do!They are a great value as a 3 canister / 6 piece set (including the lids), and would make a great gift (ie., housewarming gift).I love this set - highly recommend!
Not airtight. The top is a silicone piece cut to fit the circle, no full lip to ensure tightness & the top for the largest container seems worn down so there’s no resistance in removing the top like the smaller two. I want it sealed tight to ensure nothing gets into my food.
They’re very small.
Ceramic containers with a simple design and look great. Feel pretty light for being ceramic but the lids are made of thin silicone. They seal the top but make sure not to get anything sharp near them. These are big enough to put your hand in to clean and feel like they hold a lot for their size. Quality seems great since these are ceramic they will last a long time and provide some good value.
