Great for leftovers

I tend to cook big portions for dinner. Making bigger portions for dinner allows us to have leftovers for next day's lunch. I got this large glass food container to hold the leftovers. I like glass much better than plastic containers. This one feels thick. I can microwave the glass container and not worry about how hot the food gets. On several occasions I microwave too long, and the hot food has melted my plastic tupperware. Glass will never melt, and it's scratch resistant. This is a big size 2.7L and seems it can hold a lot. I like the rectangle shape over round shape containers. The lid has a good seal (no leaks that I've seen). I like the design with a vent valve; it lets hot vapor escape. Cleaning is easy, I let it soak. and with glass it never stains, works very well. I recommend.

Great Glass Backing Dis

Large borosilicate glass cooking pan/container. Same sort of glass used for lab glass so it can be used in the oven or frig. Comes with a tight sealing plastic lid with a 'vent' that can be opened or closed without taking off the whole lid. Perfect for storing leftovers. Advertised for making "deep bread" which I'm not familiar with. I ordered the quart size but there is a larger size as well. We just used it for storing leftover soup!
