Cooks quick, Very low noise, Attractive, First Time Use & Review
5 stars:Just airfried 3 pieces of salmon & took about 15 min cook time at 330-350 F. Delish.Great value & actually easy to navigate the buttons now that I have been using it more.Once you hit Menu, you can turn knob to toggle between cooking functions. It’s faster that way.Love the large rack & baking tray provided. I use it to marinade meats sometimes since it’s easy to clean.Gentle cleaning to avoid scratching paint coating.Recommendation for cleaning tray:I purchase this stainless steel chain-link scrubber that helps me scrub stuck on foods without scraping & damaging coated trays. It is mostly used to clean ceramic cast iron pots or glass.————————4 stars after 1st use to roast peanuts(Smokes a bit for under 10 min cook time, button function not too intuitive, learning curve but possible with practice)-My previous air fryer:My Instant Vortex was a workhorse, cooked fast, reliable, but loud fan & touch buttons faded very quickly with minimal use so labeling buttons helped me manage to continue using it for about 4 years until it broke down exactly on Thanksgiving 2024.-Next air fryer I tried but returning:Ordered Gourmia 9 slice very large attractive stainless steel air fryer oven w/ french doors (ideal for me)…but I returned after reading a list of negative reviews about it being a fire hazard & smoking & losing heat out of door gaps.-NuWave:I researched online for my hoping to be final air fryer.Knew this brand when I browsed for electric stovetops. Never used this brand until now.Reviews on Nuwave airfryer was mixed, mostly positive for this particular model.Purchased teal shade. Retro look.Has width & depth, height.Fits some whole fish and steak or parts of ribs—need to butterfly small chicken to fit.First use so far—roasted peanuts using Roast function. Quick cooking time, needed monitoring since idk how hot this gets. Took maybe 5 minutes or bit more to fully roast.Inner deep part of tray cooked faster vs toward door handle—so, I removed tray and turned it around to get other side evenly cooked.Probably difficult w/ heavier & bulkier food items.I think my original Vortex was same in heat distribution where inner wall cooked faster.I touched exterior sides during cooking to confirm that this oven does get hot at top & glass window, sides bit less hot. Just be cautious is all.I do worry about cooking much longer than 10min with this because 5 min or so roasting peanuts, room was foggy w/ some smoke. I do worry about glass door cracking because of this heat.I will continue to use with more food types to test how safe & reliable it is for long term use.I want to believe that this is actually made free of harmful forever chemicals like PFAS—but somebody has to test it to be certain.I do want to like it and keep it, but very difficult to find trusting electrical equipment now a days.I recommend it because of the black friday return policy, allowing you more time to test things out before committing to it if returns process is not tedious work for buyer.Great size for small countertop similar size to traditional countertop toaster oven before air fryers were invented.
