I got this air fryer to replace another one that died after several years of use. I tried a couple of different ones, but they were a step backward from what my original offered & didn't cook as well. When I got my Nuwave, though, it was instant love. It is easy to use, with intuitive controls and roomy cooking racks. You can see the food cooking to perfection - I have never had breaded fish look so appetizing while it was cooking! I got the extra grill pan, and we were amazed at how good beer brats looked and tasted after cooking. I tried the probe with pork tenderloin and was impressed by how you can see the internal temperature of the meat as it's cooking. In my house, we love crispy potato rounds; the results in the Nuwave are the best ever. So far, I'm impressed with the performance especially since it hasn't set off my smoke detectors! It's also easy to clean, so it's an all-around winner!
Wow, what an air fryer! First of all, let me say that this is my second air fryer. I bought one 2 years ago, after many reviews from friends and family. I used it once and decided immediately that it was not for me. It was the typical drawer style where you have to open, shake and so on. I wondered who could cook that way, nothing about it appealed to me. Recently, I bought a cooking magazine that had many air frying recipes, thinking I would give it another try. I researched and found the NuWave Brio. I new immediately that this one might be a game changer. It arrived 2 days later, and it did not disappoint. My favorite thing about this model is that it has a very large capacity, many preset functions, a window that allows you to see your food as it cooks, and many other convenient features and accessories. I've had it for 2 weeks and have cooked ribeyes, pork chops, shishkabobs, buttermilk waffles, breakfast sausage, tortillas, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, shrimp skewers and so on. Everything has turned out delicious and cooked to perfection. I can't imagine ever owning a basket style design where your food is mysteriously hidden from view. If you've never had an air fryer or if you've been using the basket stlye, you've gotta try the NuWave Brio, I think your going to love it as much as I do. Next, I'll try cooking with the rotisserie! Can't wait.
Works well had it for a while seemed to cook very nicely, but very hard to clean and after six months, I don’t think it’s gonna make it much longer
I had the power XL 8qt and liked it very much but the door handle broke. While I liked the XL I decided to give a basket style airfryer a try. After much research I found this arfryer to be rated in the top 5 of the five reviews I looked at. While the reviews were a huge factor in my purchase the Nu Wave was on sale at approximately 80% of retail. I've had this for about 6 months it is the best I've used. It's very easy to clean, very versatile, the fastest cooking air fryers I've owned. The plug-in thermometer is handy, set a temp and it cooks to that temperature/ doneness. Once you get use to using the menu system it's a set and forget it. There is much more to this airfryer then others just take the time to learn to use it properly. Of the 4 different brands I've used this airfryer beats them all for crisping.
First of all they link you to a different model than I purchased. It says 8qt with a different picture. I purchased the 14qt, model 38001 on 12/5/2021. It worked without problems for about 4 months. Then started to change modes, cook time, temperature, turn off and if you leave it with the door closed it will sometimes turn itself on. I registered the fryer shortly after the purchase to receive the additional 3 months warranty. Contacted nuwave about the issues. I sent them information they asked for to start a warranty claim. You have to keep all accessories including the fryer door to use with the replacement. Strange about the door, but okay. I received the replacement. Door does not fit the new fryer drop in hinges. The replacement was model 38006 and mine was 38001. Contacted them again and explained the problem. After a few emails back and forth, they still say the door is compatible with the newer model. It is except for the hinges which are plastic. I had to file the hinge opening to make it fit. Not long after that the same problems start again. Did the whole warranty claim over again. Same result on the door hinges. Again had to file the hinge opening to make the door fit. We used it five times at about ten minute, short cooks. Now it will not even turn on. Contacted customer support again at Nuwave. Now they want the confirmation email for the extended warranty. The email that was to Nuwave, not Amazon. The previous time I made a claim they said the see I registered for the extended warranty. Now apparently they can not find the registration. Please do not buy Nuwave products. Their engineering and firmware is poor quality in my opinion. I highly do not recommend wasting money with this company.
I have only used this a few times so far but I am very pleased. I have had to look up how to do a few things but the solutions have been very simple so far. I have not attempted any of the more advanced features so far.
