Excellent Cheese Shaker With Multiple Uses

This little cheese shaker is perfect for Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and poppy seeds, to name a few things. The lid is easy to remove and replace, and the size is perfect for holding half a cup of whatever you choose to put in it. I wouldn’t recommend using it for really fine grained things like salt. The holes are too large for fine grains and too small for large flakes, like nutritional yeast. One alternative use I have put it to is the planting of lettuce seeds. I mix my lettuce seeds with a bit of potting soil and add this to the shaker. I sprinkle my planter box with the mix of seeds and dirt, and this spreads (spaces) the tiny seeds nicely. The lettuce grows with just enough space between the plants for easy harvesting with a scissors. I would buy this shaker jar again (it is dishwasher safe) and the price is great.
