Just cooked for seven hours made homemade beef stew, handles never got too hot for me. It does hold eight quarts. It was mess when I got done cooking so I put it in dishwasher it came out brand new again.
First of all, I was SHOCKED that I bought this quality pot for only $37!!! I thought I’d give it a try at that price.WELL, I WAS TRULY SURPRISED AND SHOCKED THAT I RECEIVED SUCH A QUALITY POT!! It cooks evenly, so it’s not likely to burn at the bottom, it looks WAY MORE EXPENSIVE THAN WHAT IT IS, AND FUNCTIONS LIKE A DREAM!!I took dimensions and the top diameter is12”, the bottom diameter is just about 9 and 3/4”, the height is 7.5”, and my stove’s large element is 10”. I think that’s pretty standard. The lid fits on perfectly and has a top handle that doesn’t heat up when using it. The stainless steel is sharp looking and the pot was very easy to use. I liked that the pot was more rounded rather than taller, like a stock pot. Although, you can use it as a stock pot if you chose to!I made a HUGE pot of sauce yesterday so I could serve it with pasta that night, and then I froze the rest for a meal for a later date. My largest pot only held about 5-6 quarts. It was very limiting, but all of the pots I really wanted were very expensive. This pot is such quality and I’m VERY IMPRESSED WITH IT! It looks and feels EXPENSIVE, BUT ITS A BARGAIN!I am going to buy another for myself, and a third one as a gift! Buy with confidence because this pot is EXCEEDINGLY WORTH IT!
It was a good size for my Christmas cooking and I love the cover handle , you can actually use it in two ways, nice quality 🥰 🥰🥰
HUGE pot!! I wanted a larger stainless steel cooking pot and this one didn’t disappoint! I have used it several times on high heat on a gas top stove and it works great. Even heating and no discoloration on the outside after using. Very happy with this purchase.
Good large stock pot for the money. Looks great. Glass lid is excellent for keeping an eye on simmering stock without lifting the cover. Instructions say not to store stock in the pot in the refrigerator. May cause discoloration.
