I can't believe how strong the magnet is on this bottle opener. I didn't think this was going to work unless it was screwed or glued or maybe screwed and glued to a solid object. The magnet on this is so strong I literally struggled getting this off of the side of my refrigerator. I mean that in a good way! Figure out where you want it, put it in place, adjust it if needed, and you're good.The bottle opener mechanism itself is clearly cast iron and appears very solid. The base material I'm not sure what it is but it is also heavy duty and durable. This is going to last years if not forever.The package included double sided tape for mounting on non-metallic surface but I can't give feedback on how that works because the magnet is so strong there is no need to test this. There are also extra screws included that are used to attach the opener to the backplate. This was a bit confusing at first but I noticed the product description mentions that you can change out the opener with other styles. These other opener styles are NOT included in the package so...yeah, I'm not sure the thinking here but it's not a big deal other than a waste of materials probably? Not a knock on the product, just confusing why it's included.Whether you're attaching it to your refrigerator or to your BBQ pit or another metallic surface you should find this useful and very functional on top of being durable plus it looks great.

This thing is awesome!I was shocked when I picked up the box containing this bottle opener. It is heavy! Don't let that shy you away though. The magnet is plenty strong to hold it up. It is very well constructed and has an aged, stylish, look about it. This looks like something you'd find in an old classic dimly lit pub, and I mean that in the best of ways.I stuck this one on my fridge. When the magnet grabbed on, it caught me off guard. Once it attaches, it's got such excellent hold, that I had to slide it sideways to the edge to get it off. That's a good thing! In the past I've had some with weaker magnets, that come loose as you're leveraging the cap off. No worries about that with this one. The opener itself works wonderfully. It grips the lid right every time and pops the top right off. No slippage or multiple attempts involved.The magic trick: I admit I was skeptical about whether or not the whole magnet catching the cap thing would work. I gave it a try and was blown away. It reminded me of movies where something ridiculously magnetic makes an item fly out of a person's hand and then stick against the magnet itself. It works very well. In fact, you're tempted to open more drinks than you may want, just to show people.This is a very classy looking, well built, highly functional, bottle cap, with a neat trick included. I'm honestly surprised the price is so low on it. I recommend getting this one while it's hot!

Love the cast iron, don't need the magnetic backing
This cast-iron bottle opener is high quality and durable, but the included large glued-on magnet isn’t very practical for mounting. I removed the screws holding the opener to the backplate and instead mounted it securely into a wooden stud, which works perfectly. Sturdy, functional, and far more reliable than relying on the magnet.

I ordered this bottle opener to install on my outside refrigerator. It has a very strong magnet and sticks on to my refrigerator door with a very tight grip. It came with two double sided tape strips to use if attaching it to something nonmagnetic, but I did not need to use them. The actual bottle opener is removable with a couple of screws in case it needs to be replaced. It even came with replacement screws. The opening itself is cast iron and appears to be good quality metal. I was impressed when using it to open a few beer bottles. The round magnet at the bottom catches the caps as they fall off the bottle. On the first bottle my instinct was to catch the cap, but the magnet beat me to it. The opener worked perfectly every time I tried it. It looks very nice, and I am extremely happy with it.

I always wanted to get one that mounted to the wall but I saw this magnetic one & thought I’d give it a try…it has the same look & feel as the wall mounted.It’s heavy weighted but sticks to the fridge with force.I just pulled out of the package & stuck to the fridge, ready to use! It does have gear to attach to a wall or attach to whatever surface you would like with adhesive stickers making it versatile for many surfaces.I really like the magnetic cap catcher to it! It seems to work well at catching the caps (see video!) I have a special someone in my life that leaves caps laying everywhere so this will end that problem! Lol!Quality seems very good & I really think it’s worth the price!

Wow! This bottle opener is built very well. It is heavy and very solid. I'm sure it can last for generations as you'd have work hard to damage it. The magnet is VERY strong. I put the bottle opener on my freezer door and now I cannot remove it by hand. It's definitely stuck and would require prying with a screw driver to remove. The opener itself works very well. Removing bottle tops requires little effort. Excellent product that is built to last a lifetime.
