This mold set comes in different sizes, and comes with a small rice spoon . Very convenient. This would make a great gift for anyone who loves sushi, or just rice. Plastic is a little thin, but still does a great job. Looks and feels like fair quality.
These onigiri molds popped up at the perfect time -- my husband and I had just made our first onigiri last month and loved the process!Although our manual onigiri (triangle and ball shaped} held up fairly well, I really wanted to get some molds so I could focus on enjoying prepping these.We tried the rectangular mold for a larger filling: some chicken stir-fried in homemade sauce used for yakisoba noodles, held together with Thai sriracha chili sauce & unagi sauce.
