Awesome product. It made making onigiri so easy! Put rice and stuffing in the middle (Make sure you create a depression to put stuffing, creating a wall of rice). Put rice over it, pack it down, put the inner lid and close the whole thing to form the triangle shape. Easy to clean.
It’s a great gadget to have in every kitchen. Works great!
This is such a great little device. I started making various onigiri after a fantastic trip to Tokyo where I was able to get them on the go all the time. As I keep a pretty healthy diet, having onigiri on the go made a lot of sense, so I wanted to implement that into my diet back in the US. I make them a handful at a time and keep them in the fridge for quick, healthy snacks whenever I'm on the run or just wanting a quick bite.This product is easy to use and easy to clean. If you're someone that's SUPER paranoid about microplastics, I will say I question the quality of plastic, as it does feel like a typical, mass produced cheap plastic. It's sturdy though, so I wouldn't worry about it breaking, but probably best to hand wash instead of in a dishwasher.
The molds were great and were fun to work with, I think I would’ve preferred them being a flexible silicone rather than just plastic to make it easier to get the rice out of the molds
I love this thing! The only concern one might have is that you need to fill it with rice to a specific level to get it to pack down well. It may be better to overfill and pack it down your first time until you figure it out. If you fill it too low then the onigiri will fall apart. It seems like it does expedite making onigiri vs. a single unit. It seems pretty sturdy too so don't be shy about pushing down or banging on it. Onigiri come out easily once you flip it.

LOVE this! When we make musubi for events or school field trips, we tend to make a lot! This was so helpful in making a lot in a short amount of time. It is sturdy too. Great purchase!
