ONREVA Store: Foamed Rubber Textured Toolbox Liner Material, 28” W X 22’ L, Heavy-Duty 4mm ThickThis product is a roll of heavy-duty foamed rubber material with a textured surface for use in toolbox drawers or as a resilient workbench work surface covering. This roll of material is exactly 28-inches wide and it is said that the product is twenty-two (22) feet long. The 28-inch width makes this product perfect for cutting and fitting exactly into my new toolbox drawers and as a cover for the open area in the top of the new toolbox. I am hoping that the use of this product in the top of the new toolbox will prevent the painted metal surface from getting scratched over its life.This product is 4mm thick (approximately ⅛ of an inch) and it has a resilient, cushioned feel to it. So, in theory, it can prevent damage to the toolbox drawer’s surface and to the tools themselves. The color is a dark black color and the front surface, this is the surface that will be toward the tools or work surface, has a fine grid line lightly embossed into the surface. The back surface, that is the surface towards the metal drawer or the bench surface, has a square bumpy pattern deeply embossed into the material. This pattern provides a cushioning effect between the foamed rubber material and the metal surface.Information on the product’s Amazon page says that this product is a PVC rubber material. This should make the product reasonably resistant to oil, grease, and some chemicals that might be present on tools placed on the material. The material will definitely be waterproof. I am hoping to begin planning the cutting of the material soon to fit into my new toolbox. The material should be easy to cut, but I want to make sure that each and every piece is cut accurately. So, I will be doing measurements, creating drawings, and measuring again several times before cutting anything. I do like this product.
