This is a cool way to make something mundane like kitchen cooking utensils sort of fun. The set of 5 including a the slotted spoon, pasta spoon, ladle, slotted turner, and solid turner offers a good amount of versatility. I prefer silicone (or wood) over plastic due to the reduced chances of chemicals leaking into food. They're pretty sizable too but not unweildly. They're constructed half of silicone, and half I assume stainless steel.The other part is the holder/rack. The top is a steel plate, perpendicular to a grooved piece of plastic which the handles nest into. The topside of the holder has 3M double sided tape. Bonus points for using 3M brand tape, not generic. Unfortunately, I need to make modifications to be able to mount this since my apartment's backsplash is irregular, so possibly to the underside of a cabinet. The blunt end of the utensils have a decently powerful magnet which affix to the steel plate when in position. It appears that is sealed by the stainless steel handle, so rusting shouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to using these!
Looks like upper end, nice quality
There are two ways to attach the magnetic strip to the wall. One is to use the tacky strip, the other is to attach it with screws to the wall. But the tacky strip isn’t sticky enough to stay stuck on my ceramic backsplash tile. The weight of the utensils kept pulling it off. And since I wasn’t willing to drill into my backsplash to make it stay in place, I wound up throwing away the entire magnetic strip. I kept the utensils, they’re now sitting in a utensil holder. But that was the whole point of ordering this — to get the utensils off my counter and get more counter space. This product failed in that regard. The utensils are nice, durable and easy to clean. I just wish I could have hung them up as intended.EDIT: I have changed my original star rating for this product from 3 stars to 4. Reason being, this seller reached out to me, offered a resolution and was promptly accommodating. Sometimes things go wrong. But it's always how a person or company handles the matter that makes all the difference. Customer service and quality control goes a long way :)
Sturdy, attractive cooking tools. Comes with magnetic hanger although I didn’t use it. Good value for the money.
