These wooden utensils look really nice and work well. Not sure if I'm supposed to put them in the dishwasher, but I do and they've held up just fine for several months. They're good sized and solid. I like how thick the handles are because they are easy to hold. The spoon rest is a nice addition, it looks great and is so convenient when cooking.
Most of my life I’ve had a low opinion of wooden kitchen utensils. Being porous they seem difficult to clean convincingly, and the dishwasher isn’t an option. I’m concerned about using them for high heat (and I don’t use teflon nonstick pans). However, being offered a set for the price of a thoughtful review (and modest hit to income tax) did wonders to open my mind.These are solid-feeling devices, made from handsome looking wood. They are functionally designed and well-balanced.I’ve used the spatula for lower-heat cooking and the salad utensils thus far. They do make my kitchen game seem classier than it really is. They served their purposes admirably. I confess I’m slowly warming to wooden utensils.Looking at competing sets is where this loses one star; while coupons come and go, making it harder to compare prices, it seems that there are similar highly-regarded sets at a lower prices.
These beautiful utensils are made of high quality acacia wood which not only work excellent for cooking, they look fantastic on my kitchen counter. I was going to give these as part of a bridal shower gift, but they’re so nice I couldn’t part with them.I threw away all of my pale bamboo utensils because they were starting to fray, chip and shed bits of wood. These acacia wood utensils the perfect size and are much sturdier and they’re smooth. So much easier to use. I use the spurtles every single day and they still look amazing. I don’t out them in the dishwasher. If my husband is loading the dishwasher after dinner I’ve made sure he knows not to throw them in. They’re a good value for the amount of utensils you get. I’ve prices these at the high end stores (crate, Williams) when I was looking for shower gifts and first of all, they sell them separately and not in a set and the price was shocking for each utensil.I would 100% recommend these!
I am reviewing the OOZi Wooden Spoon for Cooking Set. This is a great 6-piece set, well made with very practical pieces. One thing I really love about this set is the flat spatulas have a nearly pointed end which makes scraping a pan or chopping ground meat much easier! Each piece is well crafted and is really lightweight to hold in the hand, and are a very comfortable size to reach into a large pot, or use on a small pan. The spatulas all come with a pre-made hole in them to be able to hang them for ease of storage. The only concern I have is I am unsure of what the finish on the wood is made of, whether it is a food-grade finish or not. I have been cooking with these for over a month now and have not had any problems or issues so far. Even cleaning them has not been difficult at all, especially if I clean them by hand right away before anything dries on the wood. Overall, I really like this set and would recommend!
These wooden utensils are made from beautiful Acacia wood that is safe to use on non-stick pans and are nice enough to use for serving. They are so pretty that I am even tempted to keep them in a utensil holder on the counter. It is worth noting that they are hand wash only! If you put them in a dishwasher the finish will come off, but they will still be functional and last a long time. They might need a little cutting board oil every once in a while to keep them water-proof and to prevent cracking. I really think they are well worth the price to invest in this cooking set that will last for years.
I grew up with my grandpa always using wooden tools in the kitchen. I have always looked for a nice set of similar quality that he had. I still have a couple of his that I still use to this day making them probably around 30 or 40 years old. Finding a good set these days is getting harder and harder especially if you don't want to spend 100 plus dollars to get 4 or 5 utensils. These have nice thick wood handles with the perfect amount of contour to them. They are just as beautiful looking as they are useful cooking tools. The quality is very nice and the spoon-rest is a great little bonus. These are hand-wash only but with my knives and certain pans that I own it does not bother me. As it seems any great kitchen cooking tool is hand-wash only. These can be used on non-stick or stainless steel pans as they should scratch any pot or pan making them one of the best choices if you ask me. The price for this set is incredible and looks and feels like a set that would be over a hundred dollars.
I was on the search for quality wood spoons after so many bamboo spoon fails. So far, thisset has been great. I hand wash them and allow them to air dry and I’ve had no issues so far. No wear and tear or mold or mildew so it’s a win for me. Look wise, they look expensive and they’re definitely made of good wood. The color is a rich, warm brown and I haven’t seen any fading after continuous use. I would recommend.
