Perfect organic cheese cloth

This Organic Unbleached Cotton Cheesecloth is excellent quality and far exceeded my expectations. The fabric is tightly woven yet breathable, making it perfect for fine straining without tearing or letting unwanted solids through. The large 23" x 23" size is especially useful and provides plenty of coverage for bigger batches.I really appreciate that it’s GOTS certified, unbleached, and made from organic cotton—it feels clean, natural, and safe to use with food. The hemmed edges are a huge plus, as they prevent fraying and make the cloth sturdy enough to wash and reuse multiple times.I used these cloths for straining fruit during a home project (plum brandy), and they performed beautifully—strong, reliable, and easy to clean afterward. Even after washing, the fabric held its shape and quality.Overall, this is a well-made, reusable cheesecloth that’s clearly designed to last. Whether you’re straining, fermenting, or working with homemade kitchen projects, this set is a fantastic investment. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a dependable, eco-friendly straining cloth.

Great cheesecloth

This is the best cheesecloth that I have every found, even better than the specialty stores! It is such good quality. It is durable, thick, and you could wash and reuse parts easily. There is a lot of it, and it cuts easily and doesn't shed a ton when you do cut it. I make cold brew weekly, and this is great to use to separate the beans. I've also used for making ricotta cheese and it works like a charm! It is really functional for so many tasks and foods. It doesn't leave any flavor and I like how it isn't heavily bleached (if it is at all). I highly recommend!

Valuable, Durable and Made Well!

An excellent product with great mesh quality, versatility, and value! The cloth did not come apart or seem too thin and it strained what I needed without falling apart. I am grateful to find organic cheesecloth that is NOT bleached. This product can be used for several different projects and will work as you would like.

Very Thick, Great Quality, Needs lots of initial washing

Ultimately, I’m glad I got this, and I’m glad this company is providing this product. The thickness & sturdiness is nice for most applications. It is easier to clean after using it to contain herbs & broth veggies when making chicken soup, than the double layer of regular (good quality) cheesecloth I had been using previously. There is only one layer of this to deal with, and being so thick it is easy to rinse/scrub stuff off. It also does work well in a single layer for “dripping” yogurt, with a weight on top, to make “Greek yogurt” or labneh (kinda like a cream cheese.) Being much thicker, it does add bulk/stiffness to the fabric. It’s fairly workable when wet, but not *super* pliable & super easy to wring, like regular cheesecloth. But I manage this okay, even with my hands that have pain. It seems much more stiff and bulky when it comes in the package, but it softens up nicely when it gets wet.The thing I’m not thrilled about, is this took much more effort to clean before initial use, than my other unbleached organic cotton cheesecloths had. All of them get initial washing/boiling till the water runs clear, but most release a reasonable amount of yellow into the water from the cotton & then the rinse water comes clean fairly quickly. This one turned the water very dirty and cloudy, and took me more than one day of boiling it in new fresh batches of water, agitating and wringing as I rinsed by hand in between boiling sessions; then doing it all again. And Again. It took forever before I was getting rinse water that looked reasonably clear. The pictures are after I had boiled & then rinsed the cloth *several times* already, after initially receiving it. Eventually I did get it to come mostly clear.I hope the company looks into this, as it sounds like other customers have had similar issues with it releasing lots of gunk into the water initially, and it also sounds like this is not what they expect for their product, by what they’ve responded to in people’s questions. I would hate for someone to use this straight out of the package for preparing food, because it was billed as being ready for use, and end up with that gunk in their food. All that said, the thickness & quality of the cheesecloth is truly nice & not something I’ve found elsewhere. I also appreciate that this seems responsibly produced. I appreciate the GOTS certification, and that they seem to be doing their best to offer an ethically produced product. They also seem to be a small business that puts a lot of effort & care into their products & customer service, answering questions, etc. It’s worth it…just make sure you wash it well, first! For the company’s reference, my order was in August of 2021.

A kitchen must have! Good quality, fine weave cheesecloth.

Very fine weave cheesecloth, great quality, definitely washable grade. I use it for making butter, straining fruit juices, rolling out pastry, covering sourdough starter, herb sachets, and pretty much any other use I can think of.
