Easy to assemble and clean. Flat red, so far no scratching for consitent color. No metal so it won't rust. Only very fine partials will filter through to the water and steeps in 3-5 minutes.

This thing is so cute. But I feel you’re paying for aesthetic vs quality. As you can see there’s quite a large gap in mine which tea leaves escape and by the pictures it doesn’t look like there’s a gap. Luckily my tea leaves aren’t super fine but I could see this being a problem if yours are. A little disappointing but that’s alright

Okay, let's be real - nobody is buying this because they are interested in a purely functional product.You can get a more solid tea steeper for half the price.You're buying this because of its unique design. You want it for the whimsy.On that level, it FULLY delivers.While the mechanical parts do seem a little smaller and a little thinner than I'd like to be assured years of happy tea making, it arrived fully working and unlike other people, the "mouth"on mine fully shuts like it should.Time will tell how well it holds up with actual use. I'm a casual tea drinker so mine will be on display more than it'll be used. As such, I expect it will last me a while but if that changes, I'll come back and update this review.
