The lid works just like the original, I have an extra container but no lid for that one, so I ended up getting this--works for both my extra bowl and the original one. It's annoying how the original parts cost so much, so it's nice to get these ones when they fit well and feel sturdy for a reduced price.
This was pretty good! It does fit and does engage the security tab, but it feels just very slightly off. For the cost vs manufacturer replacement, it is totally worth it.

After detecting some problems with my ice cream maker, I wanted to try out this replacement lid. I wasn't sure if the original lid was the cause of the issue because the blade had begun spinning freely on its own and occasionally caused the machine to shut down. In order to rule that out, I choose to test this one. As soon as it arrived, I was struck by how much it looked and felt like the original lid. It took only a few seconds to install, and the fit was flawless. It feels sturdy and well-made, with no visible traces of shoddy molding or sharp edges. Between this and the original piece that came with my machine, I couldn't discern any significant differences. Additionally, it creates a tight seal and locks into position firmly. It arrived in perfect condition.The first thing I did was throw it in the dishwasher, and it did great. The title says dishwasher safe, so why not?Unfortunately, it did not survive its first use. I used it on a pint of peach sorbet with the original branded paddle and a branded cup and branded outer bowl. I could *hear* it shredding the lid inside as the paddle mixed my wonderful sorbet with tiny bits of black plastic.Very disappointing that it couldn't make it through a single pint.
I didn't need this as my Ninja Creami came with one, but I got a second one as I have two pint containers and I can wash a set at a time without mixing them up or looking for a singe part to make it all work. Everything fits as it should it all locks into place. Only time will tell if this grade of plastic holds up to the friction of the blade spinning and moving past the outer bowl lid. Apart from there not having the same markings as the OEM Ninja Creami lid, I couldn't tell which was which when comparing them side by side.Make sure you buy the right size for your model of Ninja Creami as they're not all compatible.
Perfect fit for my ninja creami deluxe.I'm subtracting one star because the lid unlock button on my lid is getting caught and not springing back up after being pushed down, which may eventually render this thing unusable if it continues to get more jammed with time.
