I fluctuate between doing deep housecleaning and ignoring even the lightest cleaning if something fun has caught my attention. Keeping it real here.The last time I deep cleaned the oven I told myself it was time to just order the darn liners and avoid 90% of the work. And for anyone who is wondering, yes, I use the self-cleaning feature of the oven, and while it's mostly done for me, wiping down the ashy leftover bits is no fun and still requires elbow grease (and a bit of knee grease since my oven is a lower one). Plus I suffer from asthma and those ashes are ultra-fine particles just wanting to fly in my face.So even though I knew liners were the way to go, I still didn't want to pay a lot for liners. Not if I could help it anyway. The price on these was the lowest I found anywhere. Functional and affordable? Doubly sweet!It comes rolled up, like a tube, and shrink-wrapped. It was still curled when I placed it in the oven. But the electric component in the oven held it down easily and it flattened out before I knew it.It's been about a month since I placed it in the oven. I've used the oven several times a week. I've had very few spills (just because clean-up is easy doesn't mean I want to do more of it lol). But the few small spills I've had were easily cleaned once the oven was cool. I just wiped them with a damp kitchen sponge. No elbow grease.I haven't yet had a major spill that required removing and washing in the sink, but if it happens, this will be a breeze. Just take it out, brush it off into the trash and wipe it down in the sink.This product is thinner than the silicone baking mats I have for my cookie sheets but that's just a comment for reference for you. It does not need to be thicker than it is. It protects the oven bottom perfectly from spills and cleans easily.For those of you who sew and have a silicone ironing sheet this is very similar. Except the ironing sheets are usually white. The oven liner I got is black. Blends nicely with the oven bottom.I am very happy with this purchase. I'm sorry I waited so long to get it.
