Well made medium size pantry rack with 8 baskets
This is a very nice set of spice baskets for the back of my pantry door. The set is easy to assemble and appears to be of excellent quality. I used the over-door hangers for positioning, and secured the rack assembly to the door with my own screws. For smaller doors such as mine, you should be careful to make sure that your rack kit will fit the door without hitting the door frame or pantry shelves. The baskets can be adjusted up and down to provide optimal positioning. Fully installed, this rack gives me the maximum storage space for my smaller pantry door. Some installation notes:This is the largest rack that would fit my smaller 17.75 inch wide pantry door. The rack channels are centered 11.75 inches apart. The big baskets are 15.5 inches wide and stick out 6 inches from the door. With these dimensions, I positioned the assembled unit about 3/4 inch off-center to allow corner of the large baskets on the unhinged side to clear the door frame when closing. Since the door is only 1.25 inches thick the hanger brackets are too wide, even when adding the enclosed pads as spacers. Therefore, I just used the hangers for positioning and secured the rack with 6 wood screws with a white finish (not provided.) Since the hanger slots in the rack channels are open all the way through, it was easy to apply the screws without drilling. It would have been nice of the manufacturer would have included some screws for this purpose. Fortunately, I had some lying around.
