Love it.
I love the color, shape, size of this ladle. Wish it came in larger sizes but it's perfect for soups, especially a small batch of soup. Trying to switch out of toxic plastic and silicone utensils and switching them to wood or stainless steel and this one fits the bill.A little pricey but I think it's worth it for the quality.

Beautifully detailed wooden spoon
The craftsmanship of this spoon is so pretty with the swirled design of the different types and colors of wood used in it. The bowl of the spoon does have a bit of a rough spot like it should have been sanded/polished a bit more. I also don’t consider this to be a ladle, the bowl of the spoon is decent size but the way the handle is made so straight it would be difficult to ladle anything with it. It is a really pretty spoon and I am glad to add it to my kitchen. It’s a tad smaller than I had anticipated but still a very useful size but perhaps a bit more expensive than larger spoons so the price point is a bit high in my opinion.

I got this for my brother in law (though if I didn’t already have a full kitchen of tools it would’ve come home to me), and it was instantly loved. The finish is very smooth, the grip is comfortable in both his and my sister’s hands (though he does most all of the cooking), and importantly, it hasn’t stained which is the main fear I had sending it their way (I’ve made my fair share of wooden spoons look like crime accessories cooking down tomatoes!). At least the one they sent us was clearly made with care, the layers meticulously crafted and finished, the piece instantly grabbing the eyes in the crock they keep their spoons, handheld strainers, tongs and such in.I hope this lasts for ages to come. I recommend what might be obvious but warrants saying: only hand wash this utensil to protect it and make it last. I also HIGHLY advise you not use any scented dishwashing products when cleaning anything natural (or even plastic) as it will inevitably absorb that smell and make some funky tasting food. Stick to something mild and natural (I’ve been content with unscented ecos that I dilute 50/50 in a foaming hand soap dispenser since I almost never need it full strength and the added surface area that foaming creates saves time breaking down the grime-less really is more… just ask any laundry/cleaning science expert how much Tide is left behind in clothes when you use the recommended amount!).It could use some periodic (neutral) oiling after many washes, too. In any case, it seems certain that the awful dry heat of a dishwasher and prolonged time in that environment would ruin it (as it does other wooden spoons) and make it crack considering even stoneware and other sturdy ceramics don’t love the repeated trauma of dishwashers… and a piece this lovely deserves the minimal TLC to be enjoyed for years to come. I definitely recommend it whether for you or a loved one, especially someone who is hard to shop for, “has everything,” (obviously) likes handicrafts and unique pieces, and/or has minimal space so every piece has to be carefully chosen which is the case with my sister and her husband. It is front and center in their displayed items and regularly used. That speaks volumes for my picky engineer of a brother-in-law (we are all picky, though).
