Definitely keeps my drink hot longer.
I was looking for a mug that kept any hot drink hot longer than a plain, ceramic mug and saw this mug recommended online. I was a little skeptical, but it definitely kept my coffee hot longer, even without using the lid included, and my husband agreed. I did my own little non-scientific test comparing side-by-side ceramic mug and this mug for drinking temps as time went by and this mug definitely worked well. I could see using the lid if you needed to leave your drink for a bit and didn't want it to cool off, otherwise taking the lid off and putting on every time you took a sip seems a like a bit of a nuisance. The lid can be used as a coaster. The mug seem sturdy enough although lightweight, however I wouldn't test by dropping onto granite countertop or tile floor. Since it tapers slightly at the bottom, there seems to be a chance of knocking it over if you bumped mug a little too hard, but generally it is pretty stable. The matching spoon is probably most useful for folks that add stuff to their drinks (hot or cold) but since I drink my coffee black it is just an extra thing to go in drawer and save for guests. I also liked the larger capacity so I don't have to refill as often. The mugs come as a set of two. I bought an extra set to give as gift since I was so pleased with them.

The cups and lid and the spoons all look quality made. The bamboo lids look and fit nice. The stirring spoons are nice too. These cups are a little taller so any knock can tip these over. But thats because they are 16 oz taller type cups. So yeah any double walled glass like this are pretty thin and easy to break. Although borosilicate glass is pretty durable against heat changes its not the most durable against drops and will shatter into many pieces. But thats with all these type of glass cups. So before you buy any of these, be realistic that you will at least break one of these, be it this brand or a name brand they all break just the same.

Fantastic coffee mugs with practical accessories
I gifted these to the person who introduced me to milk frothing and wanted to return the favor to someone who literally changed my drab mornings to happy anticipation of my daily coffee. She had previousy been. using regular mugs and couldn't visualize the magic happening within: a large layer of mocha-colored coffee concealed under a marshmallow puff of frothed half and half. I brought these to her as a hostess gift and the proof of her delight was that she used them every morning of my stay – sometimes both of them, depriving me of one for my own morning coffee. I love the long spoons and the wood disk that can be used as both a coaster below and to keep the heat in above. I had to give a 3/5 on Sturdiness because, hey, these are fragile glass mugs, and then can easily break if you're not careful. I took off one star overall because the spoons being partly wooden preclude them from being thrown into the dishwasher. But the mugs should be hand-washed, anyhow, so it's a small matter to wash them at the same time.

Far Too Fragile
I'd give these 0 stars if I could.Soon as I picked the shipping box up off my welcome mat, I heard the tinkle of broken glass. The box was pristine. The inner box, with the glasses, was also pristine, and inside, the mugs were cushioned with foam. Despite all that, one mug was shattered.I specifically searched for an insulated drinking glass, to replace some plastic ones I use. I live in the south, and wanted to avoid dealing with condensation on the outside of the glass. Plus, felt borosilicate glass was a healthier choice over plastic.I decided to use the other mug while drinking ice water. After an hour or so, I noted condensation around the area near and below the handle of the glass. (SIGH)Also, the shape of the handle is annoying. It's not a large opening, and is applied at an angle that made picking up the mug by the handle awkward. To grip the mug itself, and slide fingers through the handle was also a bit weird, as the opening didn't quite allow for all four fingers to slide through the handle..just as I said, awkward.Then, I went to the kitchen for a refill. The mere act of dropping a small ice cube from a distance of less then five inches caused the inner liner to shatter. AN ICE CUBE. Dropped from a normal distance.So, now both mugs are in the trash and my refund has been processed. I've included images, 2 from the in-box wreckage, and two from the ice cube disaster.BUT, truly, beware these mugs. The inner glass lining is so thin, I don't know how any survive more than a few days. I'm 65, female, live alone, and for the majority of my life, ran an antique business. I have handled my share of fragile glassware, but these take the cake.

These insulated glasses are great for hot or cold beverages. They're taller and narrower than our last set, which makes the hubby a little nervous, but I am happy with the look and feel. The bamboo lids are great, and the spoons are an elegant addition. I am washing by hand and avoiding the microwave, even though the listing says those are OK.

These mugs are cute, keep coffee/tea hot when lid is on but they are soooo flimsy, so thin and keeps falling. I wish they're made a bit heavier and more sturdy. I am afraid to put in the microwave, they might break. Need better quality.
