It looks great and is working really good so far, I can easily cut through the dough when I made pasta.
This dual pastry cutter rolls easily and doesn't clog up as some do. Free rolling wheels make pastry cutting a breeze. Easy clean up too.
I really have nothing to say about it at this time. I looked like a pretty good item with both handles on it. It is going to be a birthday gift for my granddaughter.
This two sided cutter breezes through doughs of any kind. Most others have very stiff rollers but this one is loose enough to glide through your dough without skipping but not TOO loose to control. Fantastic for ravioli, especially the fluted side. Save yourself hundreds of dollars on pasta cutter attachments for your stand mixer and use this to cut long pasta like linguini, fettuccine, pappardelle, etc. You can shape puff pastry for croissants, store bought crescent dough for danish and pizza dough for flatbreads. My favorite use is cutting out irregular shapes of cookie dough. You can save money on expensive cookie cutters by tracing a homemade template or just using your imagination. The best tool for cutting out shapes for gingerbread houses because of the number and variety of sizes and shapes required. The handle is lightweight and a comfortable thickness. Even though it’s sturdy construction, I hand wash it with a brush in soapy water to keep the gears turning smoothly. Highly recommended!
I make chicken and dumplings from scratch from my grandmother's recipe every Thanksgiving. One of the most annoying parts of it is when I'm stamping out the dumplings with the tool she had (basically a vintage vegetable crinkle cut tool". Well, this tool does it a lot better! I use the fluted side and just draw a line from end to end, and freehand the width. I know it sounds like either way would be just as easy, but until you've done homemade dumplings with a bad back, you don't know how even a simple tool like this is a gamechanger for a recipe. And, it is so well made, I hope I can have it as long as grandma did her crinkle cutter!
Made well, works fine
Handy, sturdy, strong and versatile pasta cutter. The handle is easy to hold; I like that I can flip between the straight edge wheel or the fluted decorative edge.I made some ravioli with this using both the straight and fluted edge to cut my filled and sealed pasta. This handy tool can also be used to cut fluted or straight edged lasagna noodles, decorative latticed topped pie crusts, other filled pastas using flattened sealed dough like perogy or calzone, crackers, butter type cookies, thin crusted pizzas etc.Keep in mind this is a cutter only and does not press or seal the dough- you need to do that yourself. This device is best for straight up cutting of dough for flat doughs (maybe even fondant frosting) that don’t need to be sealed. If you plan on making a lot of ravioli or other small, filled pastas I would recommend getting a pasta stamp that seals and cuts all in one. But for cutting dough with straight or fluted edges this gets the job done, is well made and design, multi-functional and versatile and is well priced (currently $6.99) for what it does!
