Great buy!
The pasta maker worked perfectly, I gave it to my girlfriend and she loved it. We would buy again, it made learning how to make fresh pasta super easy. The three in one attachment made everything run more smoothly without having to change the attachment to transition from flattening to cutting. It came with cleaning tools and it wasn't hard to clean. The instructions included four recipes, we tried out the spinach pasta recipe firsttips:Add a little flour each time you pass it thru during the thinning process, once your dough no longer needs more flour to keep it from being tacky, you can start thinning it to your desired thickness. We learned it is better to thin out the pasta to your desired thickness by going up two levels at a time, especially when you want thin fettuccine or angel hair. The pasta turned out great, first we tried fettuccine alfredo with the fresh pasta, and a couple days later we made angel hair carbonara from the frozen angel hair pasta, it was as good as the stuff we had on day one and it still only took 3 minutes to cook

Fresh pasta whenever you it!
I recently got into making my own fresh pasta. I’ve always wanted to get an attachment for my KitchenAid mixer and this was a very affordable piece. I read the reviews before buying, and I was a little worried because some said it was hard to clean and that the dough got stuck and created a mess.I didn’t find it hard to clean at all. The top compartment comes off and it’s fairly easy to get everything you need clean. With that being said it shouldn’t get that dirty to begin with. Like I said I’m a beginner and I have learned that your dough should not be sticky. If you were throwing sticky dough through any Pasta maker, it’s going to stick.My suggestion would be to lightly coat with flour and try again.I absolutely love that fresh pasta is a weekly dinner at our house now and while I know, I could also roll it and cut it myself, this tool really makes it so much easier. It had a very small learning curve, and after that I feel very comfortable. It feels very sturdy and just like my kitchen made. I expect to have this for the next 15 years

Great product! Easily connects to the Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I used one of the pasta recipes in the instruction booklet and it came out delicious. Definitely worth the money if you want fresh pasta.

Great Tool for the Kitchen!!
I've been using this pasta machine now for almost a month, and this is a GREAT TOOL for the kitchen! Works wonderfully with the 5qt. KitchenAid mixer. I read all of the reviews talking about how the pasta sticks to the rollers, doesn't cut all the way through the dough, etc. I believe the majority of these bad reviews are because of user error. I have yet to have the dough stick to the rollers, or the cutters not cut all the way through the dough. Yes, I'm a trained chef. Yes, I've made A LOT of fresh pasta in my life. But I don't think you have to be a professional to love this machine. Simply, if your pasta is sticking, you need more flour. I dust the dough with flour after every pass through the machine. If your pasta isn't being cut all the way through, then it's too wet, and or too thin for the type of pasta you're trying to create. Fettuccini shouldn't be any thinner than level 3-4. Spaghetti shouldn't be any thinner than setting 4. I use an old authentic Italian pasta dough recipe. 450 grams of Semolina Flour, and 225 grams of warm water. That's it. Turns out perfect every time, as long as you keep it dusted on each pass, and don't roll it too thin.Another complaint is that it isn't easy to clean. I don't get it. The top pops off so you can access the rollers and cutters. All I've ever had to do it pop the top off and simply blow the flour dust off. Nothing stuck. No dried bits of old pasta. Once again, keep your dough will floured!!You won't regret purchasing this tool! Very well constructed, and works like a dream!!

Probably my favorite Kitchenaid attachment. Very heavy duty not junk plastic. You wont be disappointed. Worked flawlessly right out of the box. (The first one was damaged but they made it right) Very consistent and uniform noodles. Homemade noodles are way better than anything store bought. Just follow the recipe it comes with or choose your own.

Totally worth it
I put off buying a pasta machine for years because I thought it would be a hassle, but I decided it was finally time to try. I chose this model because it is reasonably priced, so I wouldn't regret the spend if I didn't enjoy the process, and not too complicated, so it was harder for me to mess up. I am so happy with this machine, I wish I had done this years ago! The rollers adjust smoothly and with 2 built in cutting options, you don't have to fight with removable pieces. It's easy to set up, easy to use, easy to clean and easy to store and the results are fantastic. I recommend this version to anyone wanting to try their hand at pasta making for the first time. You won't be discouraged.
