Work's with the kitchen aid 4.5 and I am very happy with this one, my wife is actually using it to make pasta for chicken noodle soup and she is so impressed with the size and thinness of the noodles that she has decided to use this instead of hand rolling out.
Nice quality unit, built sturdy with heavy materials. Works and fits like a KitchenAid product and I highly recommend!
We use this Pasta Maker very often, use 00 flour from Italy we purchase on Amazon and the process is wonderful easy! The one side takes the piece of dough and thins it out into sheets (note the thickness setting numbers are in reverse from KitchenAid Pasta Maker - no big deal). We then run it through the other side which has 2 settings - fetticini or spagetti . We AND our grandkids love both!
I love everything about this EXCEPT for how linguini noodles are sometimes double wide because it doesn't always cut them properly (it scored the separations but some were still connected.. It rolled them out thickness-wise perfectly. I found it easy to use, as I have never made fresh pasta before I bought this, but I liked using it and of course WOW does fresh pasta taste amazing! Seems durable, time will tell. Definitely reccomend, but remember it's not a high end machine. Works well, looks like you'd expect, good for your average less-often pasta chef.
This pasta maker is well worth the money! I have made homemade noodles for 25 years from scratch with a rolling pin and a manual pasta cutter. It's a labor intensive process and takes a long time. I had a triple batch of dough ready to go, they were cut and ready to dry in less than 30 minutes.

Love it makes making noodle sheets easy and made egg roll sheets with it once and they came out great
