When making a quickie sandwich, I used to cut paper towels or wax paper into small squares when heating up refrigerated buns on paper plates in a microwave, both to kill the chill and to melt cheese on the bun, so the bun wouldn't stick to the paper plate. This usually allowed me to reuse the paper plate; the paper towel or wax paper was less expensive than throwing away paper plates. Then it dawned on me the separator sheets used between frozen hamburger patties and some presliced cheeses might work as well so I tried these. They work great for it. No more cutting the little squares. Just grab a sheet, put it on the plate and slap a bun on it. These are both easier and faster to use and are far more economical.
These are perfect for pre making burgers and freezing them!!
We are not gluttonous nor are proud carnivores, nor rich wasting hard earned money. We buy hamburger in bulk. We weight it with our Amazon scale and Amazon hamburger press.Even cold hamburger will stick to the patty press. Quarter-Pound patties MUST be snug or they will not hold their shape. They cook in four minutes with one flip.Point to be made, 5.5x5.5 inch paper is essential. 1000 sheets, I reuse them storying them in the freezer. I do not like waste.ME, I would make them 6x6.I center the weighed hamburger with paper sandwiching it. STILL, I have to waste TIME doing it. See, the SHORT paper will see hamburger moooosh! Out paper seam. No, measured in grams, the weight is consistent. No, its now balled and skewed to the back third of the press. It still happens.5.5-inch squares does not contain exact weighed quarter pound burgers every time. That is the only true issue.Oh, the paper gets soggy during the thaw, but still peels well enough. It works well, but it is I who loses minutes per batch for a paper slips and skews hamburger as one sheet will shorten.MANUFACTURER: 6x6 inch would help.
Good quality. Wife loves they are pre cut
Handy little bits of waxed paper in the kitchen/food storage arena - I keep them right next to the baggies for a multitude of uses. The box lasts forever despite regular use.
perfect size to seperate hamburger patties
