This knife is beautiful for starters. It is balanced well and fits so perfectly in my hand. I knew my pampered chef bread knife was old but I didn’t know how bad it was cutting until I got this knife. It cuts so smoothly through my homemade sourdough bread my husband and son both laughed when they used the knife for the first time. You won’t regret getting this knife.

I like this knife. Super for this price.
It's pretty, inexpensive, AND comfortable in the hand, but just "okay" as a paring knife. It was not as sharp as advertised, but I know it can be sharpened and honed to meet that "razor sharp" and "ultra sharp" edge that was advertised. The faux Damascus etching looks good on the blade, and the handle it gorgeous, but there is a slight ridge where the handle meets the butt cap. A little better quality control or assembly would definitely move my review up to that 5th star. As far as recommending this to a "friend"... I would give them the same review and let them decide. What they receive might not have the cons I noticed.
I have a bread knife thats one of those package deals that comes with the holder block and other knifes. That knife was not cutting my bread for S*** so I got this one. It came very sharp and it gets the job done. I cut fresh bread 2 times a week (fresh baked loafs) i have cut maybe 100 at this point and no issues yet.
