The hit of Thanksgiving dinner!

This is the first pie server I've ever gotten for myself. The double ear prongs did take a wee bit of adjustment, although most of that was in my head I think. Still the cat design was a hit with all the dinner attendees and it worked really well. I'm also thrilled that I could just toss it in the dishwasher to clean up. Definitely worth it for a wee bit of whimsy added to a very functional tool.

Novel design but poor workmanship...

To be honest, I bought this essentially for the novelty design. Don't get me wrong, it is totally functional as a cake knife but quite expensive if you compare it to the 'normal' version. Additionally, the fit and finish is pretty rough. This is most likely made from stamped steel and not machined. The edges are quite raw and polishing work is rudimentary. My copy has some bad scratches on the 😺 side that I have to sand down to make it more presentable. In short, the design is cute but workmanship is much lacking for the asking price. Buy only if you like the whimsical design.

Super-Cute, Durable, Easy-Clean

The double points at the tip are a bit weird at first, but they didn't really impact how I use it. The serrated edges are capable and they cut into pie just fine, but you'd have to really use some force to cut yourself. To get a clean edge on cake, you'll need something sharper. However, it could scratch a non-stick coating rather easily. I have glass pie pans, so it's not an issue for us. The raised handle is comfortable and just long enough. I like how thick the metal is; it won't bend on you. And when you're done, you can just put it in the dishwasher.I was able to pick at and roll the glue dots mostly off. The remaining residue was easy enough to remove with some isopropyl alcohol. I didn't need to use goo-gone. The easy-remove type would be nicer, but it's just a one-time thing. This pie server will last many years.
