Not your average salt mill
Not your average salt mill. The Hamnoble Professional Grade Salt Mill feels nice and solid and works with ease. It looks more like a work of art on the table rather then an ordinary salt mill. I highly recommend for those who really like having high grade kitchen gadgets that will last a lifetime.

This is the one to get. Yes, it's expensive. However, it absolutely crushes every other pepper grinder I've ever owned and has yet to disappoint.Huge amounts of pepper can be freshly ground in seconds. Something like 4 or 5 turns gives you a full half-teaspoon of pepper. Astonishing.The grinder looks and feels heavy and well-made, and is absolutely worth every penny. One note: if your recipe calls for a certain amount of ground pepper, it means the ground pepper in plastic containers in the supermarket that have been sitting there for weeks. FRESH ground pepper packs a punch: maybe use a little less than the recipe calls for, and adjust to taste!

Great...heavy...grinder, Very happy
I had an old acrylic grinder for....decades I guess. Finally started to wear out and didn't grind well. Picked this one up and instantly regretted waiting all these years. Like others have said, it's heavy...almost unnecessarily heavy but I like the heft. It has a cup (cup fits snugly) that catches loose pepper or you can pre-grind an amount and just dole out what you need. The old grinder shed pepper when I set it down and I had to wipe off the counter where we stored it often. With the cup, that problem is gone. I haven't played with all the grinds yet but currently have it set on a grind a couple of settings down from 'fine' and it works for me. It does grind a lot quickly and I love that. It is a little pricey but all these upscale grinders seem about the same price-line...much cheaper than Hexclad and probably as good.

Nice grinder but the o-ring base is difficult to remove. Salt is corrosive to magnets but it would be nice if encased magnets could be used to secure the base... Or velcro, haha.
