Fresh cracked peppercorns are the way to go, and this grinder gets you there.

In general, a decent enough table grinder for pepper. The wooden body looks nice. Has ceramic grinders that should last quite a while. Easy to grip and twist, however while it's considered as an adjustable grinder, I find that it pretty much is good for a medium grind. Adjusting the top screw and pushing on the top creates a larger gap between the cutting teeth, and technically produces a a more and more coarse grind. However, in practice, the grinder doesn't do too well to in keeping a consistent grind, and varies widely, even when 'loosened' up. If you're expecting fine control like you'd have in a large tabletop spice grinder or coffee mill, you may be disappointed.But, even so, I do like this grinder for ease of use. Nothing like fresh cracked peppercorns!

I've only used this pepper grinder a couple of times so far. It works fine and the multiple grind size settings are a nice feature. The grinding action is smooth and easy to use. However, it’s smaller than I expected, and the build doesn’t feel as sturdy as I hoped—it seems like it might not last more than a year (though it hasn’t broken yet). Next time, I’d opt for a larger size, and I wish the grinder mechanism itself were a bit bigger
