Doesn't Retain Odors Like Plastic Scoops
I ordered the Yrarbil Pet Food Scoop (1-Cup Stainless Steel) and found it to be a sturdy, well-made feeding tool with a polished, professional look. The Scoop is made from 0.8 mm thick, food-grade 304 stainless steel and features a mirror-polished finish. The smooth, rolled edges feel safe and comfortable in the hand, with no sharp spots. The finish resists sticking, and scratches, and cleanup is simple — it's dishwasher safe, though hand-washing works just as well. The round handle measures 3½" long. My large woman's hand wraps around it comfortably, and the Scoop feels nicely balanced when empty. The Scoop tilts downwards when I fill it with dry cat food. However, the handle may feel a bit small for someone with large hands. This is a 1-cup measuring scoop, with engraved precision markings for accurate portion control. Measurement accuracy depends heavily on what is being measured, as flour and sugar can be levelled for a 1-cup measure, but dry pet food doesn't level out. One level scoop equals about 1 cup, which helps eliminate guesswork at feeding time. Most of the measurement markings are clearly defined, though I noticed the 50 ml and ¼-cup engraved lines are lighter and less well-defined than the others. Hand washing the Scoop will extend the life of the engraving measurements. The Scoop's overall dimensions are 10.28 x 4.06 x 2.05 inches, and it weighs about 0.3 pounds, giving it a solid but not heavy feel.Because of its larger size, it was too wide to easily fit into standard flour or sugar canisters for a full scoop. However, it worked perfectly for scooping dry cat food and would be ideal for cat kibble. In my case, I only needed a partial scoop, so exact measurement wasn't critical.Overall, this durable, rust-resistant stainless steel scoop works well for pet food portioning and should hold up well with regular use. This Scoop exceeds my expectations, and I can expect it to last at least 10 years.
