I purchased these black doilies to cover the cymbals and drum heads on my electric drums! The matte rubber composition of the black cymbals in particular causes them to draw dust. Because they're not a smooth rubber, they are hard to clean. So rather that cover the entire set which is out in the open, I decided to order these to see what it looks like. I'm a French Country lover and only use the color black for accent, but since the drum set is black already, the black would not be overpowering.I ordered both 10" and 12" to see which worked best. I chose the 12" (this product) primarily because the crochet work appears higher quality and it tighter. In other words, they look like a better quality. In addition, the tighter design will better protect my cymbals from dust.Note: I had also ordered the tan but they looked too rustic for my style. I was hoping they were more of a cream color. They were not.I HIGHLY recommend this 12" product. If I had had the 10" in a 12" of that design, I still would have returned them in favor of this design/ quality.
