For the money its right on.
READ ME! Right upfront, you should know this is strictly a plunge cutter. It will not slice and dice!Pick a medium to smaller sized pineapple (anything bigger will cause waste as there is no adjustment). Cut the top and bottom off. After centering the cutter over it, plunge this through the fruit. This is going to work best on riper softer fruit (the more yellow in color on the outside the riper, a greener exterior is greener) and position yourself so that you can use your weight to help you press down through the fruit. Then pull the cutter and fruit out of the rind and discard the rind. I then push the core out, as it's flesh is tough and comes out pretty easily. Getting the edible part out can be a little tougher but applying pressure with your thumbs on the top the fruit and pushing will usually push this out. I have had fruit get somewhat stuck. This isn't a real problem as the open sides of the tool allow you to cut the fruit out easily (of course you then wouldn't have those satisfying rings) but usually I don't have a problem. After this you can cut the fruit how you wish, rings, chunks whatever. For me, I can get the fruit from between 0.99 and $2.99 usually and this helps me to rapidly core and clean the fruit in about 1 min. A precut at my store runs about $3.99, so I can save at least $1 per fruit. Its sturdy and made out of thick stainless that is easily cleaned. The cutting teeth are very small, I doubt you could sharpen them but I think it will be a while before that would be problematic. It's not for everyone as it does NOT slice the fruit up it only cores and removes the rind. For my money, $10 when I bought it, it's totally worth it. If you're looking for some the slices and cores though this is not the droid you're looking for.

Not for me
This pineapple corer is very difficult to use and too small for a regular size pineapple. It leaves a good chunk of the core behind on the inside of your "cored" pineapple, so you still have to cut that out. It also leaves lots of good pineapple behind on the inside of the rind. I wasn't strong enough to get it to the bottom of the pineapple (it's VERY difficult to do), so I backed it out about half way through, and was left with a mess. It's in the trash, next time I'll just cut up the pineapple like I've always done.

Surprisingly effective
Does what it’s intended to do. Cores the pineapple and cuts a perfect cylinder shape out of the middle. I usually go straight through and cut off the bottom. Then slice the outer shell and eat the fruit that was left behind like ribs. In my opinion the outermost fruit has the best flavor, so I don’t want to waste that. Then you can slice up the pineapple cylinder exactly like it comes out of the can, only fresh.

Ease of use
Choxila Pineapple Corer Stainless Steel Pineapple Corer Peeler Pineapple Cutter Fruit tool is easy to use and does a very good job. It does not slice the Pineapple as some of the others do but we had rather slice it with a knife that way we have control of the thickness. The seller was very response, the first one we got the cutting ring broke loose (spot welds did not take) the exchange was easy and extremely fast. Excellent product, Excellent Seller!!

WillLast forever but hard to use
Does not work as easy as the most others with the “plastic” handles. But ours with the plastic handle broke because, well it’s made of plastic, and coring a pineapple is not really a gentle job.So many pineapple corers have handle made out of plastic, this was the only one that is all stainless steel. After turning the corner all the way to the bottom of the pineapple, you have to fiddle with how to pull the core out. It finally did, but with effort and luck (with all the dinner guests watching I might add!)Probably need a few more tries to practice. Would liken it to getting a stainless steel pan, it’s harder to use, but will last you forever. The non-stick pan is easier to use, but will break down in about a year of heavy use, the choice is yours.

Doesn't work well
Love thr build quality and all steel design. However it just doesn't work anywhere near as well as the standard design.
