I've had this pan for quite some time, and just used it first time yesterday. Oh I guess I bought it about 3 or 4 months ago for making meatloaf, but I really, really have to be in a cooking mood to make something like that. It's pretty involved, you know. Thawing out the meat, making sure you have all the ingredients on hand, etc. But with meatloaf, the best part of it to me is later, the meatloaf sandwiches. I love em! I used it yesterday to bake up a Krusteaze Lemon Pound Cake with Lemon glaze (included). Turned out real good, but the box recipe calls for way too much butter. I mean, 10 tablespoons? I believe 6 would be about right. It's good but consistency is a bit off. Anyhoo, I love the pan. The copper finish on the inside gives it a nice non stick finish which cleans up easy. The shape is perfect for a loaf pan, it's perfect for baking bread. As for rust resistance? Being made out of stamped steel, any deep scratches will get the rust going. But as long as you keep it properly seasoned, like any good quality cookware, rust should never be a problem. I own a complete set of cars iron skillets and there's not a speck of rust on any of them.
Great quality, cooks evenly. Price is great.
Cleans up easily and does a great job of cooking meatloaf while rendering out any excess fat in a manner that doesn't detract from the juiciness of the meal. One great thing is that the removable tray encourages that the meatloaf not be cut (marring the nonstick coating) while in the pan. Good price, too - yeah, it's a little more than the regular pan, but my wife and I agree this is likely to last a whole lot longer.
Perfect pizza pan for heating store bought frozen pizza. I added a parchment sheet underneath the pizza prior to baking the pizza that required no cleanup after baking.
Let’s all the grease from a meat loaf drip down so the meatloaf isn’t sitting in the grease. I bit difficult to clean all those little holes after using it but it’s worth the effort.
My boyfriend needed a new pizza pan. I got him this for Christmas. It’s really big. The metal quality is great.
