Use to launch your pizza.
This item works great as long as you know what you're doing. I had just bought a pizza oven and it took me 2-3 tries to get it right. First you need to put plenty of semolina flour on the top of the pizza peel just where the pizza will sit, then place the uncooked pizza on top of the flour. Then you can practice jerking the peel in your hand back and forth about an inch or two and confirm that the pizza does slide and not stick. Then you are ready to confidently launch the pizza into the oven. Remember, you want to use a completely different pizza peel to turn and to remove the cooked pizza. This peel should be thin and aluminum. Anyway, great peel, having two allows one to have a pizza ready to go when you launch the first.

A good choice for home use.
Good design, nicely made, sturdy, a little heavy but fine for occasional use. I typically cook 12 inch pizzas on 12.6 inch pans and like using this 14 inch pizza peel. A wide wooden spatula can then lift the front edge of a cooked pizza enough to allow the front edge of a peel to slide under the pizza. Then with a pizza loaded onto the peel it is great to have a second 14 inch peel turned upside down for use as a cutting board and that way the top surfaces of both peels can stay smooth, no knife cuts, nicks, or scratches, to make it easier for pizzas to slide on the top surfaces of the peels. Besides, my largest kitchen cutting boards are only 10 inches wide.

Great pizza peel, especially for the price
I bought another pizza peel but it came warped or cupped. I returned it and ordered these. They are far better made than the other bamboo peel and they are completely flat.My only complaint is because the handle is so wide it's a little awkward in launching the pizza. Granted it's been over 30 years since I worked on a pizzeria but the second pizza was much better launch.The surface of the peel is nice and smooth. A little bit of ordinary flour, a puff of air under the crust, and the pizza slides right off with the right technique.It reminds me of my old days when I work part-time for a friend in his pizzeria and Sandwich shop.I was able to find the deal on a outdoor propane 16-in pizza oven over the holidays. It had a bad regulator and received the replacement and did a burning last night to cook off any solvents or cleaners and season the pizza stone.It's going to be fun tonight have sourdough pizza dough balls ready to go for dinner.

Pizza on the move. Piece of cake (pizza).
For us they were awesome. We were able to purchase a case of 18" frozen crusts. We would coat these Pizza paddles with flour. Place a frozen crust on top and let thaw. Prep pizza and take to outside gas grill and slide off on preheated floured stones. Guess what we used to remove. These were a winner for our kids, grandkids and friends.
