Spacious, made from thick Polypropylene.

Per my inquiry of the seller, the product is made of food safety grade Polypropylene which is thicker than I had expected it would be, and the included stainless-steel butter knife is also sturdy, so both should be durable with reasonable care. However, it has no internal seal in the lid by which to make it airtight (see photo of the underside of the lid). When filled with water, securing the lid and tilting it on its side – the water dribbled out of it. The fit of the lid is sufficient to protect the contents from dirt or the occasional curious insect when it’s kept on the counter, but it may not prevent the butter from absorbing refrigerator odors.It is very spacious, easily accommodating Kerrygold blocks or two Kerrygold sticks of butter side by side with plenty of room to spare. Depth wise it can hold twice that amount.In addition to home use, this would be good for RV’s or taking to picnics or on camping trips. I think it is overall a decent product, but it not being airtight is my only reason for the 3-star rating.

simple & functional butter dish

i like this butter dish. it has a simple design and clean look, and the neutral color fits in on my counter. it keeps butter fresh, the lid seals well, and the included knife makes it easy to spread. the size works great for regular sticks or blocks of butter, but i usually only put a partial stick in it. it's not a super high quality product, but it does its job just fine.

A stylish everyday butter dish

This butter dish is very well made. I got the Navy color, and the sleek dark blue finish looks great on the countertop. The matching lid fits perfectly and keeps the butter fresh with a tight seal. The size is generous, but I do wish that it was slightly taller so that it can fit 4 butter sticks comfortably. As is, it can still accommodate 4 sticks but the bottom of the lid will crush the butter on top slightly. This is due to the indentation made by the built-in butter knife holder on the bottom of the lid. It also come with a stainless steel butter knife that sits securely on top of the lid. This a nice touch as the knife is good size and rests neatly on the lid and is always ready for use. The plastic is thick and very sturdy but lightweight. It will last a long time when taken care of. The dish is also a breeze to clean. This is one of those small purchases that reaffirms that you made the right choice every time you use it.
