Works well .
Love it
Haven’t used it and she hasn’t been brave enough to try it. We like cubed steaks with an ojue sauce. However, it doesn’t seem like the stores run the mean through a cuber more than a couple passes, so I bought this. It appears to be sturdy and good quality. It also appears to pretty easy to maintain. I don’t want to sit on a review just because it is black of use on our part. It seemed to get reasonably high ratings so I landed on this one for the price. I will edit if there ends of being a major problem.
Just what I needed to make venison cube steaks. You just have to make sure that you cut the steaks thick enough that it goes through because if you cut them too thin, it will roll around in the cuber.
So let me first off say that I didn’t get to use it very long because of my foolishness. I was tenderizing sirloin to make some chicken fry steaks. A small piece of sirloin was torn off and was just going round and round. So since I’m so bright. I decided to get a knife and scrape it off of the rollers WHILE IT WAS RUNNING. Ya I know. Brilliant move. Long story short it sucked my pairing knife through til the handle and then snapped the shaft of the roller. Gears did not strip before shaft broke. So it definitely has good gears. I did get 11 steaks tenderized before broke so was able to evaluate the tenderness. It was not like the cube steak you get from stores but your not buying commercial equipment They where good enough so I bought another one today. PS don’t be a hero.
Tenderizes meat as expected. Just ok price. $18 cheaper on Walmart for exact same thing, but didn't want to chance it after reading the reviews where they ordered the upgraded version, but got the version with the plastic gears and had the hassle of exchanging it.
