Lovely Tea for Two Set Has Unique & Intricately Designed English Rose Eyelet Pattern
A cup of hot tea is my drink of choice in the morning and I also enjoy this drink in the evening to relax and wind town. I have developed a taste for a variety of teas and enjoy experimenting with new types and flavors. I have some great tea kettles and tea pots, but was still missing a nice set of tea cups. I wanted something special and ornate to enjoy on my own or to serve when a friend visits. I have been drinking tea out of coffee cups.This porcelain tea ware immediately caught my eye. This classic English style set comes in twos- two white teacups, two white saucers and two gold teaspoons. An extra surprise of an individual packet of English Black Tea is included with the set. The tea cups and pairing saucers are a basic white but have an intricate and detailed eyelet pattern with English rose cutouts. The cups appear to have actual holes carved in them like a true eyelet, but of course, there is a clear lining. I was really impressed with the detailed design which replicates all of the parts of a rose so well. When you look at the tea set, the clear protective porcelain that acts as the barrier on both the cup and saucer makes the pattern appear to have a silver-colored accent. This does not match well with the bright gold teaspoon. I prefer gold over silver, so I wish the cup and saucer had reflections of gold as opposed to silver- with or without the spoon. I'd rather have the spoon though. In keeping with the English rose theme, the serving part of the spoon is equally decorative made in a cut out image of a rose with texture and uneven edges. The cup handle stands out as a unique and decorative design too. It has defined, distinctive notches that not only help provide a solid grasp but also add flare to the set. This product is a great choice for a tea for two service.The porcelain material appears delicate but is surprisingly sturdy and strong. Enough so that these pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. I try to avoid using either of these appliances though just to take extra care to preserve the set.The cups are a standard tea cup size holding a maximum of 5 oz of tea. Using and serving the tea with the right amount of tea leaves is easy when the liquid is premeasured to the correct tea serving amount. Although the cup and saucer are white porcelain, I have not had any issues with tea stains. I do typically hand wash the set promptly after use, but there have been times when I did not have the time to do so. Even then, any residual discoloration from the tea was easily removed by a simple wash with gentle dishwashing liquid.The porcelain material appears delicate but is surprisingly sturdy and strong. Enough so that these pieces are dishwasher and microwave safe. I try to avoid using either of these appliances though just to take extra care to preserve the set.

The perfect elegant tea set.
Beautiful porcelain tea set for serving your tea in first class style. This set of 2 tea cups with matching saucers came nicely boxed and ready for gift giving. The set also included a gold serving spoon and a good quantity of English tea. The set is delicate but not too delicate that you are afraid it will break while using it. Each tea cup and saucer has beautiful etching alongside the cup and saucer and are well designed. The tea cup feels comfortable to hold and as a proper tea cup should be. I didn't notice any defects in the quality or appearance of either the tea cups or the saucers. The tea cups and saucer are noted as being microwave and dishwasher safe which is a plus but I will hand wash to make sure there is no chipping or breakage. It's a beautiful and simple set, setting the standard for elegance in serving and enjoying a relaxing cup of tea.

Very basic
I was intrigued by this porcelain set when I first saw it. It arrived beautifully packaged and would make a nice gift. The carved out design is what caught my attention. However, in person, the hollowed out details make the cups look a bit cheap. They don't look as crisp or clean as they do in the pictures. The photos are very deceiving in terms of quality and how they look. They are so much smaller than I thought. If you are looking for a basic tea set, this will work. If you want something more sophisticated this may not be the best choice.

Delicate and beautiful
I am blown away at the delicate beauty inside the box I opened. I saw the listing, the photos and the description, but I guess I didn’t realize how gorgeous these would be and how happy I would feel seeing them (not even joking haha). The way the porcelain overlays the glass is truly just pretty and fun! They aren’t heavy, but look and feel very high quality. I would recommend these as a gift to a friend or family member, maybe even a gift to yourself if you enjoy tea. Definitely worth the listed price. And having the matching saucers and the spoons…LOVE.
