I gave it to my son for Christmas and he loved it. It's nice to be able to just put the tea in and let it steep and then take it out and not wait forever for it to cool down because the mug will hold the hold the heat for a little bit but not nearly as long as a thermos and you can drink the tea much faster
I'm a tea lover, and I prefer loose leaf tea. Once upon a time, I'd fiddle with tea balls before moving on to teapots with a built in strainer, before finally realizing that mugs like this are the way to go! I have a few similar mugs, but I really like this one for one main reason - the strainer is all porcelain. When there is a metal mesh at the bottom, it's harder to clean because there are little crevices. This strainer is all one solid piece.The mug is the perfect size for an afternoon cup of tea. There is plenty of room for the leaves to expand, and the dragon is a cool looking dude. The white and teal color is beautiful to me.The mug is shipped in a box filled with foam. Despite that, the strainer did arrive chipped. The piece was not inside of the box, so it must have been packaged that way. It doesn't impact the functionality of the mug, but it does perhaps to point towards less than perfect quality control. Since the strainer isn't steel mesh, it lets more sediment through than some other strainers. It keeps the big pieces out, but expect little bits of tea to be in the bottom of your mug when you're done.Though the strainer can be put in the dishwasher, the lid and mug itself need to be hand washed. The wooden handle will not survive the dishwasher, nor will the wood lid.One last thing to note - the color of the wood on the lid does not exactly match the color of the wood handle. I find this to be a minor thing, and it doesn't impact the aesthetics too much.Minor flaws aside, this is a beautiful and perfectly functional mug, and my new favorite.
I really love the way this porcelain tea cup is designed with its cool-touch wooden handle. Besides being practical, it creates a very distinctive look and makes the experience of having a cup of tea (or any hot beverage) a little more special.The tea cup set includes the sturdy cup/mug with wooden handle, a fine mesh strainer for loose tea, and a lid with a flat wooden handle that can be flipped over and used to hold the strainer when steeping is complete. All items, with the exception of the handle parts, are made of porcelain. This is not a dishwasher safe set, but the beauty of this deserves the care of handwashing regardless.The dragon imagery that wraps around the cup is vibrant and beautifully detailed. I ordered a white set and the color really helps to accentuate all of the dragon's details, as well as the gold accents on the cup and strainer and the wooden handles.This would make a wonderful gift for any tea or coffee aficionado. The price is reasonable for an all-porcelain set.
Broke.. handler is not that thick to support the weight of it. Rest is perfect.. need to adjust it only
It looks really cool and does hold heat good. The handle gets really hot if you microwave it. Although if you pour boiling water to the cup the handle doesn't heat up so that's good. It keeps tea leafs out of your tea really good also. The handle from the cover fell off so I need to glue it back on later.
I was greatly looking forward to this Porcelain Tea Cup because there isn’t many like it available. As soon as I received it, it looked nice and I went to hand wash it. All I did was gently wipe the top with the soft side of the sponge and the entire top piece broke off. Not sure if it was broken during shipment or was that fragile. Unfortunately had to return it.
I am an avid tea drinker, so when I saw this porcelain mug I knew I wanted it. It looks just like the pictures, but is way better in person. It is a really nice quality. The mug keeps my tea warm. The infuser makes it way to use my loose tea versus using loose tea bags. The dragon detail is stunning. The handle is really sturdy. All the wood is sealed, so water won’t get absorbed. Overall, this mug is super nice and definitely worth the price I’d recommend it.
