It works but slow to grind beans
I received this grinder as part of the Vine program and wanted to love this brewing kit. And it is a complete brewing kit; you just need the beans and boiling water. Photo 1 shows the assembled unit along with the instruction manual, cleaning brush, charging cord and a tiny scoop. I have no idea what the tiny scoop is for (photo 4) as it can only hold a few beans.You have the ability to set how fine you want the beans ground, and I set mine for medium fine (see photo 2). I experimented with how many beans it would take to make a decent cup of coffee, and I ended up with about 1/4 cup of whole beans (see photo 3). That's about the maximum amount of beans they recommend to use.The machine stops after it finishes grinding the beans. So I started to grind the beans by pushing the power button. And I waited, and waited and finally, after 6 minutes and 45 seconds it stopped.It did a good job of grinding all the beans, and if you don't mind waiting almost 7 minutes for the beans to be ground, then this kit is for you. It could be a little faster if you set the grind to be coarser. Perhaps if you're camping, you might not mind waiting that long.After grinding the 1/4 cup of beans, I poured 1 cup of boiling water over the grounds and into the built in container and got a decent cup of coffee.It seems the battery can do quite a few grinds as the battery indicator light did not go down at all after several uses.

cool all-in-one idea, but best for casual coffee drinkers
This is a very cool concept, and for the most part it works as intended. The idea of combining an electric burr grinder with a pour-over brewing setup in one compact, rechargeable unit is genuinely appealing, especially for travel, camping, or office use. If you’re a casual coffee drinker who just wants fresh coffee without carrying extra gear, this does the job well.Portability is the biggest strength here. It’s compact, easy to pack, and the battery life is solid for multiple brews on a single charge. Grinding and brewing in one system is convenient, and the insulated stainless steel cup is a nice touch for keeping coffee warm. For basic pour-over coffee, the results are drinkable.That said, there are some limitations worth noting. The dripper is made of food-grade plastic, which works fine functionally, but I’d feel more confident with a full metal dripper, especially for long-term durability and heat exposure. The metal mesh filter performs adequately, but mesh filters tend to degrade over time, and it would be great if this system also supported standard paper filters.The grinder itself is very basic. It’s okay for entry-level coffee needs, but if you’re serious about coffee quality, this won’t satisfy you. The burr appears to be some kind of metal, but not stainless steel, and the center shaft doesn’t stay perfectly aligned. Even when manually turning the grinder, you can hear the burrs and outer ring touching, which leads to inconsistent grind size. Over time, this contact will wear the burrs down and make grind consistency even worse.Overall, this is a well-executed product for casual use with a genuinely clever design. It’s not for coffee enthusiasts who care deeply about grind consistency, but for everyday, on-the-go coffee drinkers, it’s a convenient all-in-one solution. With higher-quality materials and a better grinder design, this could be excellent.
