This potato ricer is great. I don't know if I'm too strong or the durability of the ricer is weak but mine bend a little while mashing. It's still usable, sharp and works fine. The potatoes does stick inside and outside but that's easy to scrape off. The price is okay for the performance of the equipment.
I watch Chef Jean Pierre on YouTube and he swears by his potato ricer, so I bought one. This particular ricer works great and my potatoes come out creamy and smooth!! If you want to step up your cooking game; don’t miss out on this wonderful, quality product! Easy to clean as well!! This much more sturdy than the plastic models.
Easy to use but the strength of the metal press is ok at best and even if the skins are peeled, there is always a large amount of buildup left inside that has to be cleaned every few potatoes. It might be user error, but I also spent money on something to make life easier.

This is the first potato ricer I have used or owned so perhaps I am naive.It did do the job although needing more attention than I expected.I deducted one star because the plunger fully depressed does not come close to clearing the chamber leaving a significant amount of potato un-riced and needing to be cleared after each load. This seems to be caused because the plunger plate does not close completely on the ricing screen and is also narrower than the sides of the chamber.I deducted another star because the insides of the handles have edges that are sharp. Rubbing your fingers along that edge could result in a serious cut. Also, the ricing screens, during manufacture, had the holes punched through. This leaves an rough edge around each hole which can be abrasive if one should rub their skin, perhaps of a knuckle, across. If they wish to leave the screen rough then it might be better to face the rough surface on the inside of the chamber where it might actually aid in the ricing of the food.
The first delivery I received was mangled. I was mad. I received my second delivery and let me tell you!!!!!! The Best Mashed potatoes ever!!!!Totally made the best smooth mash!!!!Highly recommend!!!!
This item is crap. I used it once. The pin constantly comes out. It does work when the pin stays in but there is nothing on the end to keep the pin from coming out. Worse product ever. Also it’s not cheap. So you think it would be better made.
