I love using this masher. It's not quite as "fine" of a mash as I prefer to so I finish with an avocado masher I have. The handle is short as others have commented. I like that for my purpose. I cook for two and don't require a ton of mashed potatoes. I also use it for my refried beans (maybe an even better application).I wouldn't recommend for a deep pot of potatoes, but if you use a shallow pot, you will love it too.
I had the plastic one and it was a beast to clean. This is not only easier to clean, it’s better quality, no plastic and will last for years to come
I used it to mash some black beans cooked with onions, garlic, and spices. It worked well, and was comfortable to hold. Because it's stainless steel, it rinsed nicely and then went into the dishwasher.The price was right too.I'm looking forward to mashed potatoes sometime soon.
Exactly what I was looking for. Sturdy, high quality, one piece construction that’s smooth and seamless. Dishwasher safe and super easy to clean. The shorter handle is what I wanted which makes it easier to use and manipulate. The curved masher head fits easily around the edges of a bowl or pot and also allows you to scoop unmashed ingredients to the center. This is the best masher I’ve found.
