The only issue is that the thing comes apart (ostensibly to facilitate loading up each batch) but it takes some care and manipulation to keep the thing from coming apart during use.
works good. I only tried it on potatoes. perfect for mashed potatoes.
This is a great potato ricer. Extremely sturdy
Works as advertised but it’s smaller than I expected and the top part disengages too easily from the bottom part at the hinge.

I am not a fan of this. The metal is a dull and feels a bit cheap, and it isn't as big as it appears to be at first glance because of the way the bottom narrows. I used to have two other potato ricers that were circular (I lost them both in a long distance move), with the main difference being that one had holes only on the bottom, while the other had holes all around the sides as well. I could never decide which of those I liked better, but either would be preferable to this one. I think I will be sending it back.The other issue with this is that it doesn't even stay together in one piece. The hinge is only fastened on one side, and the other side has a rod that is always coming out of the socket so it won't stay attached. I really just do not like it.
