Great quality product, so easy to use and clean up a breeze. In seconds you have perfectly cut fries. Blade is sharp, so be careful, let it work for you on the toughest potatoes. Now my favorite kitchen tool.
Natural cut fries in SECONDS! Blades are sharp, so please be careful! While it's true that sometimes the potato gets stuck, that's because I didn't set it right and, when I pressed down to cut, it tilted in the process. Getting it unstuck was an ordeal, as the blades are so sharp. You must commit to pressing down on the vegetable. You can't go slow. Get your aggressions out on this thing and slam that top part down with gusto! Once you get the hang of it, it's really easy to use. I tried a sweet potato but failed. I think a sweet potato might be too hard to cut wth this thing. Once I'm done, I rinse it and throw it in the dishwasher for an easy cleanup. It works very well at cutting fries, apples, and even oranges.What I want to know, and hope someone will film an unboxing, is how all the blades fit in the device for storage. Now that I've taken it apart to use, I can't put it back in the box to keep it all together. Blades are all over the place and they're sharp so I'd really like to use the box again. TIA
I want to give this a 5-star rating but the one flaw -- size -- keeps me from doing that.BUT, this slicer is much better than the standing one I bought! None of them are going to do everything absolutely perfectly, but this particular model works VERY well for me. I like the variety of blades and appreciate that they are nice and sharp. I like the design and the way it all fits together to do its job.My hands have a bit of arthritis and this product helps me a great deal. Prepping fruits and veggies ahead of time is so convenient with this little box! The problem I have with the whole unit is because the box is too small. Most of the potatoes and apples I slice are too big to go directly into the slicer as a whole unit. When I have to pre-chop them, that kinda defeats the purpose. And you don't get even slices as you do with you start with something whole.I would strongly suggest the manufacturers consider making an option. with a larger box. It would be great to get an even 8 slices of a nice, larger Cosmic Crisp apple or nice fat 'steak fry' cut for french fries.
I have used this a few times now and it works great. I have only chopped potatoes, peppers, and very hard carrots so far, but it did them perfectly! The carrots were a little harder, and I had to basically pound it down with light force, but it gave me perfect carrot sticks. Carrots are the hardest vegetable I will chop with this. It handled them very well, so i know it will handle everything else I may need to chop. It is extremely well made, has four different cutter options to use, easy to change cutters out and clean. I really like this it was worth the low price.
I originally got it to cut homemade fries, but they are so versatile they do even more. The blades stayed sharp though many uses already. This is the perfect small space taker with maximum ease of assembly. It is worth getting it would recommend
This broke after only a couple of uses. My husband is a pretty strong dude, and this just wasn't a match for a sweet potato and his strength combined. I really liked it and I'm bummed it broke.
