I have been using this pour over coffee maker almost daily for the past few weeks, and overall it performs fairly well with a few things worth noting. The ceramic build feels really nice in hand and cleans up easily. I especially like the look of the pitcher, which has a modern and elegant design that looks great sitting on my counter. The ceramic does feel a bit thin. It does not feel fragile, but it also does not hold heat very well. I have tried preheating the pitcher with boiling water before brewing, but the coffee still cools off quicker than I would prefer. Another small drawback is the size of the pour over dripper compared to the pitcher. For a full brew, I use about five heaping scoops of coffee, which nearly fills the filter to the top. This means I need to pour the water slowly, and there is not much room to let the coffee bloom or steep comfortably.Even with these limitations, I genuinely like this brewer and continue to brew with it almost every day. It makes a good cup of coffee, looks great in the kitchen, and feels enjoyable to use. As a coffee lover, I would still be happy to receive this as a gift, especially for someone who values both function and design.
This ceramic pour-over set is well-made, looks beautiful on the counter, and works exactly as described for a great brew. However, I’m giving it 3 stars because it doesn't include any starter filters, which is frustrating for a complete "set." It's a high-quality brewer, but be sure to buy Size 02 filters separately before your first use!
This pour over coffee maker set is really nice and works great for everyday use. The ceramic dripper and pot feel solid and well made, not thin or fragile. The white cream color looks clean and fits in nicely with my kitchen setup. The size is perfect for one or two cups and the pour over process is smooth and easy. Coffee comes out tasting good and consistent. It is easy to control the pour and nothing feels awkward to use.I also like that it is easy to clean and does not hold onto smells. It works well at home but would also be nice for camping or travel where you want something simple. Overall it feels like a quality set that does exactly what it should. I would get this again if needed and have been enjoying using it.
The ceramic is a great quality and what an attractive design. The only drawback is the size of the filter top vs. the size of the carafe, but maybe people do multiple pour overs into the same base. I was only going for one for myself. The ceramic is well glazed and easy to clean. The ceramic is of medium thickness. Without something to insulate it, the carafe does lose heat pretty quickly. Very easy to use given the design works so well.I knew that I could tinker with the coffee grind and using finer grind would make the pour process a bit slower. I will keep working with different bands to find the right combination. It seems to be a reasonable price given the other options available.
This is a delightful little set for the mornings when you want to do some work for your coffee. My recommendation for the non-coffee snobs is get it set up, grind your coffee medium-coarse, and *then* make your hot water. What you see here in this shot is a #4 filter, so they fit with some overflow. The size of the carafe gives you essentially a decently full pot of coffee, so the amount of grounds you can use ostensibly matches that. In my shot here, that amount of coffee is doing an XL travel mug, and the coffee has body and flavor. It's easy to use quickly and clean with a bottle brush, as well as to get setup. in about 2 seconds. Storage is a little different, you either have a shelf high enough to keep it stacked, or you have to keep it in parts with more surface area. Keep you water hotter than you think, because it's going to cool down as it makes its way through the grounds, etc. It's a very nice functional pour-over set that adds a touch of elegance to you coffee prep--ceramic all the way through with no plastic parts to worry about. Overall, happy to pick this up for my coffee versatility, and it is a 5 for me.
Well, I'm pretty torn in reviewing this coffee set because it is a bit weird. I make pour overs quite often, and I've got a few drippers already, but the allure of having a little coffee pot at the bottom was kind of exciting, as I've wanted a glass carafe for this in the past. However, here's where it is weird. The V60 dripper itself appears to be a size 1, which is teeny tiny, while the pot is huge. It doesn't look that out of proportion in the product images, but the reason it doesn't make sense is because with a size 1 dripper, you can brew about 160ml or so of coffee. The pot is 800ml! Ideally, the dripper would be a size 2 and the pot would be 4 or 500ml. This matters because that big pot will soak a lot of the heat out of the brewed coffee pretty fast. Honestly, I'll probably wind up using the pitcher for other things - like gravy or sauces. It is made nicely though. The ceramic seems lovely and fairly delicate (not overly thick). It's a little pricy I think at $35.99. So I'm giving it 4 stars out of fairness. The description is accurate, but it is functionally weird and a bit too expensive.
