I wanted a Dutch oven pot for my sourdough bread for a good price, this pot is fantastic and affordable . Before I used it I washed, dried well and seasoned with avocado oil (you can use any oil) bc if not will get ugly spots (cast iron will do that) also is not that heavy. Recommend 👍

Pre-seasoned obviously means something different to the purveyors of this Dutch oven than it does to me; I take it to mean the pot has been pre-seasoned. They take it to mean an attractive selling point that unfortunately doesn’t match the resulting product. The initial attempt at stew—classic cast iron pot cuisine—would have been fine if I were also looking for a tasty side of tetanus. Best avoid.
