I love it. I’m knew to mate, and I didn’t want to jump into the traditional gourd mates that most people use. This is extremely easy to clean. Not to mention, this mate looks great, and it is of extremely high quality! Great value for the money!
This product is very nice. The materials are very high quality and it feels very nice in your hand. The bombia is very large and gives a good draw of liquid when sipping. The leather and gold accents are beautiful. It is very easy to clean and comes with a cleaning brush. This is so much better than my really cheap steel mate gourd that I bought for my introduction into yerba mate. This gourd feels like a very good upgrade and is taking my mate experience to another level! It is a bit pricey but you are paying for a really high quality product. Recommended!
been using this thing for everyday about a month now, and I must say the quality is amazing. Drank both Uruguayan cut and Argentinian cut and has played well with both of them, retains heat very well and paired with a good thermos, your Yerba will easily last a full session.The bombilla is good, not great but its still very much decent, the metal around the mouth piece seems thin and depending on the water temperature, can be uncomfortable when sipping, but the ease of flow when sipping on the bombilla more than makes up for it.Overall, if you're looking for an Imperial Mate gourd without the maintenance of a calabash gourd, this is the gourd for you.
A great alternative to the gourd matte out there. Easy to clean and it’s deep. I love the little ok as well.
100% recommend. The traditional craftsmanship with the modern stainless steel interior. It comes with a decent bombilla, too. Just too pretty and solid to pass up; definitely worth every penny.
The best cut for yerba, though the straw holes are a bit too wide and sometimes allow pieces of the tea to get in.
1. This is my 3rd Mate 🧉. This one is the easiest to clean and care for. My 1st Mate was a gourd, it cracked and leaked after a few months, probably because I air dried in a cold window during the winter. My 2nd was glass inside, somehow it cracked.This mate is Metal inside and leather outside. I use a soapy sponge to clean the interior. I do my best to keep the exterior dry and only wipe it with a VERY damp towel.2. It's very appealing to the eye.3. Because the interior is steel I can use it for hot or cold mate (Tereré). It holds temo well for either.4. I love my Mate. I take with me almost everywhere and drink it almost everyday. This size is enough for Mate Tereré to last all day (about 2 liters of cold/iced water). And maybe 1 liter of hot.5. While full of yerba, it weighs about as much as a 16oz bottle of water. Empty...lighter than that.6. I had to buy a cupholder for it to fit in my car cupholder.
