Wonderful quality
I'm a professional chef with a focus on nutrition and wellness, and I've been working on replacing plastic in my home kitchen with high quality, nontoxic alternatives. These carbonized bamboo cutting boards are truthfully some of the best I've found, and I would buy them again in a heartbeat. The construction is very solid, there are no splits, faults or splinters anywhere on any of the boards, and it's very clearly made from natural bamboo without any sort of plastic, glue, or coating. Carbonization is a type of heat treatment that deepens the color of the bamboo for a striking aesthetic, and also improves its stability, making it less likely to swell, warp, or split. The only tradeoff is that the bamboo is slightly softer after the treatment, and may be more prone to dents. On the other hand, this makes the material gentler on my knives, so as long as I'm cautious with how I'm using and cleaning them I see this as a win-win situation. All 3 boards have a channel around the edge to catch liquids, making them great for tasks like carving meats. Another bonus of the bamboo material is that it's naturally anti-microbial, which makes them safe to use for many types of food without a need for high-temperature sanitizing or heavy chemicals to clean them. The range of sizes in the 3-piece set is perfect for many different kitchen tasks, and allowed me to get rid of more than 3 beat up plastic boards that were certainly losing bits of plastic into my meals. Not only does my kitchen feel safer and cleaner, these boards are also just gorgeous and a delight to use. The wooden stand is a thoughtful addition, and allows me to stand the boards up without them touching each other, ensuring that no moisture is trapped between the surfaces. I plan to treat them with food-grade mineral oil (this is what I use on all my wooden boards and knife handles) to keep them from drying out and showing wear over time, but bamboo tends to be a lower maintenance material compared to other types of wood.Note that while Vine reviews like this one provide reviewers with discounted products, we do still pay taxes on items so they are not entirely free. Everything nice in a cutting board.
I love this cutting board set because it is super beautiful, very well made and it is fun to use. First the look is great. As soon as I took them out, I liked them. They are a beautiful wood pattern with handles, liquid groove and rounded corners. The wood pattern alternates for each piece. And it is very thick. The stand is nice and sturdy and holds the boards safely. The size is good and it has a wonderful option from small to large. The large is not too small as some sets are. The quality is also great. It also feels sturdy and strong. It is not dinky or light as some bamboo boards are. I also accidentally tested it. I dropped the middle sized one by accident (I should have known better than to cary all three vertically in the holder with one hand) from about 3 feet. I was upset I had dropped my new board on a tile floor, but luckily there was no damage to the board (or tile) at all. No dents, no cracks. No damage. It is also fun to use. Some products are just enjoyable; and I enjoy using this nice pretty well weighted board. It is enjoyable and functions well. The holder is also great as I finally have a better way of storing it on the counter. I often try to find at least one fault or negative feature when reviewing products, but I couldn't find any.The price is hard to compare as boards range in price from very inexpensive to very expensive. But, my feeling is that the $70 is reasonable because of the quality and nice wood. I like it and would have been very happy if it had been a gift to me. I have another bamboo cutting board set and it is very poor compared to this. It is about half the thickness and they do not look as beautiful or high quality.

Bamboo Cutting Board
This is a very nice bamboo cutting board with a clean, decorative look! The pattern resembles an end-grain style, which gives it an elevated appearance while still serving as a functional surface for everyday prep. The size is generous enough to comfortably slice ingredients without feeling cramped. But it's not overly thick, so it's still manageable to handle, clean, and store. Despite the size, the board is also relatively lightweight considering the bamboo material which I appreciate!After the first wash with warm water and soap, I did notice some raised grain fibers which is common in many natural wood cutting boards. A quick, light sanding with 220-grit sandpaper smoothed it back out easily. After a second wash and dry, applying a coat of mineral oil brought the surface back to a smooth, finished feel and helped maintain its appearance. It looks great again for everyday use, and with routine care, it should hold up well over time! This isn't a maintenance-free board, but that's expected with any real wood or bamboo option. If you're comfortable with basic cutting board care, this is a solid, attractive option for daily food prep.
