SUPER HANDY LIDS FOR FOOD PREP

I'm using the Mason Jar Lids on all brands of pint and quart jars with narrow and wide rims. The lids are thick and solid, and do not bend. There is a seal under the rim that looks to be silicone. I especially like the outside "bumps" that allow for gripping when turning. The colors are bright and wash well. I have only hand washed and air dried. The lid threads catch the thread on the jar allowing for a smooth turning process, as the underside plastic is smooth. I'm using more glass to replace plastic bags, and containers for refrigerator storage, and they seal well. They are super handy, and since I need more, this brand is on my shopping list. As stated, they are a premium jar lid and still look new after several months of use.

They fit my mason jars perfectly.

Very nice lids. Fit well on my mason jars. I like that the package came with 2 different sizes. Wide mouth and regular. I do a lot of home canned broth and if I don't need to use it all I can use one of these lids in place of the flat sealing lid and safe it in the refrigerator.

Not really seal-proof without the seal.

Good lids and nice colors. The purpose of these for me is sharing food with my kids. The 'seal-proof' quality, however, is a disappointment. The inner seals come out which is quite annoying. I have another different set of jars that have the seals in permanently so they're not constantly getting lost in the dishwasher or in my sink. It is especially annoying when the seal doesn't make it back in the lid and my tomato sauce has now leaked all over in transporting them.
