Perfect for your Shin Ramen

My wife was commenting that it looks surprisingly good. It is light weight yet durable. The heat transfer is efficient. I use this to make Shin Ramen BLACK and it is so authentic Korean!

My dedicated ramen pan

I love this pan! I also have the matching wok. I make Momofuku ramen/Asian noodles *at least* twice a week and I cook it in this pan. It does a beautiful job. I cook my shrimps first right in this pan, then put the shrimp aside, add water, then cook my noodles. A whole one-pot meal. It's easy to clean & gorgeous to look at. The outside of the pot is a rich, almost metallic brownish purple & the inside is a deep golden yellow. It reminds me of autumn leaves. The lid fits perfectly. The handles get really hot since the pot is one piece, but it comes with silicone mini-mitts. They've been perfect for when I pick up the pan to drain the ramen.I'm happy I bought this little pot. I'm a single person living alone & it can be hard to find quality in cookware for 1. I'm excited to use it every time I make ramen. It feels a little more special somehow to have a dedicated ramen pot. I don't really use the lid, but it's nice to have if I wanted to keep something warm. So, A++ would buy again. Great pot for small households of one or two :)

Love it.

Quality. beautiful addition to my kitchen. Caveat : The handles get hot and are an odd shape, so always use a potholder when hot. And even then, handle with care because they are an odd shape! You can use the silicone shark-jaw potholders that come with it.

Pretty but the value isn't there

This is Very Pretty but the value isn't there at all.I believe that there is a certain mentality for this cooking pot. It really feels like it would fit a pack of ramen or two perfectly and it seems to be made specifically for that purpose. There is a nonstick coating, but there are ridges on the bottom that I'm not totally sure that claim holds up vs and standard flat cooking surface. So it seems as it "nonstick" just makes it easier to clean. In American versions, you would probably also expect that for 1.5Qt it be wider than it is tall compared to this. It is not the case. As I said, seems to be fit for ramen. The lid is about exactly what you would expect, it has a little metal rounded washer to allow steam to escape. Also, the handles get hot since it's a unibody piece construction. It comes with potholders in silicone feeling material which is a surprise which kind of work but not quite as well as I had wished. I think this is an interesting pot, but it is definitely more a niche cooking tool rather than something that would fulfill an essential spot in everyone's kitchen.
