this is the best configuration beater paddle. 10/10 would buy again
This is my preferred replacement beater paddle. My mom has the other style with a rubber wiper on one side, which seems like an upgrade but it sucks. the rubber wiper version tends to push my mix up to the top of the rubber wiper and then it hangs in a ring around the upper bowl and you still need to scrape the sides to get everything fully mixed. just get this more basic one and you'll scrape less bowl surface when you make your cookies. fullmetal stainless steel, no coatings to flake off into your food, clean it with almost anything. good quality, works well

made an awesome buttercream frosting for my juice pulp bread in 10 min
so.. a buddy gave me a kitchenaid she got at a yard sale for 60 a couple of years ago. looking up the serial# underneath turns out she is a bowl lift pro 5 built in dec of 2002. the whisk was the right fit but the 2 other attachments were way too shallow. my daughter suggested buying larger paddles and that was the perfect fix. which lead me to this paddle. also bought a dough hook and that also fits perfectly. also got an aftermarket pasta maker attachment which made delish saimin. my ginormous girl whom i’ve named orca because she is so oversized in my kitchen is very spoiled indeed.anyhow long story short, get the paddle; it makes amazing buttercream frosting for your favorite breads.

These attachments fit perfectly
I bought the mixer at a garage sale for ten dollars. Came with the whisk only. Now I have the dough hook and beater completing the basic set for around sixty dollars.

Good quality, stainless steel, not so tight of tolerances
I gambled on this accessory because I have the professional HD model not the tilt head mixer. It fits the professional model just fine, one of the issues I had though is the clearance between the paddle and the bowl. It's nowhere near as tight of a fit as the factory one, so it leaves a lot of dough behind on the edges of the bowl. I'm going to let my sister try it on her tilt head mixer to see if there's any difference, but I doubt there is, considering the paddle for the tilt head mixer is the same as the one for the professional HD when placing an order from KitchenAid. I will say that the material is really nice and I prefer it over the aluminum so I wish they would get their tolerances right so I could fully enjoy this accessory. As far as cleaning it goes, it's about comparable to the factory. One. Functionality wise, it seems to do about the same job. I do like that it's stainless steel though because aluminum is not good for us and it makes sense to use stainless steel for this type of thing, after all that's the standard for professional kitchens. It was easy to use and easy to clean, no complaints there. Overall, I would recommend this product, but I do wish the tolerance was a little closer to the 5qt bowl so that's four stars for you instead of five.
