Attractive Set
These will be lovely on my table for meals. They are heavy duty and attractive. They don't hold much though, and filling them is somewhat difficult. I have small funnels so I used my smallest to get Kosher salt into one - then I had to pour some out so I could screw the top back on. It would be nice if they came with some little device to make filling them easier.I tried putting peppercorns in one, but didn't find it that efficient at grinding them, so I refilled it with already ground pepper. It works much better that way with the one thumb press.As lovely as they are, they will require frequent filling since they hold so little.I appreciate the little stand for them - otherwise they would be easily knocked over.note the photo shows my little stainless funnel...it does not come with one.

Aside from being the most attractive Salt & Pepper grinders I've seen, especially with the acrylic base. Small but powerful, I am replacing my USB grinder set as this is much more attractive, and works actually better. Also, at the current price point, I think these are a great deal and will enhance any kitchen.

Great addition to the table, not so much for the cooking
I got this grinder mainly for its looks and, for that, it deserves 5 stars. It is a great addition to the table with its sleek and elegant design and quality material (stainless steel).As for function, I think it can be used only for that - dinning - as it is not very practical for the kitchen/cooking mostly due to its size and capacity. The units are small and the container for the salt/pepper/spices is even smaller - I was almost able to fit one tablespoon of pepper which is not that much when cooking meals daily and I would need to keep refilling it on weekly basis (if not even more often). On one of my pictures I showed the amount of crushed pepper from five pushes - basically I would probably need to press some 10-15 times each time I cook and I find that somewhat inconvenient. In addition, these grinders are heavy and requires a bit of pressure to get them working, unlike electric ones, so might not be the best option for elders or persons with arthritis.Again, I got them for their looks and for dinning purposes only so for that, they are very good option.

Looks great, but performance is lacking
These stainless steel salt and pepper grinders look nice, but they don't actually work very well. You depress the grinder with your thumb, but it's not the smoothest motion and constantly catches an internal edge and won't depress. When it works properly (about 50% of the times I press down), it grinds salt nicely and relatively easily, but peppercorns take more effort. The amount of effort can be a concern for people with weak joint strength. I find a twisting grinder easier to use.I think this grinder set looks really nice, so I wish it performed better. Price is fair, but I guess you get what you pay for. I can't recommend purchasing this product.
