They do not follow the curvature of the lid! They are not made by Presto.You can get the slimmest screw seeded. The thickest part has a big enough gap that the screw is not long enough.You should be able to use the same screws that were on the product originally.Very Frustrating to have to try to find screws on top of buying this replacement product.
This replacement handle arrived packaged as described and everything was included. The parts feel good quality and sturdy right out of the box. Installation was simple with just a screwdriver and it took only a few minutes.My dad was using my grandmothers pressure canner and this thing is OLD. The original handle split and cut open his hand which was scary. We honestly did not think we would be able to find a replacement part for something this old and was pretty bummed about it.This handle fits like a charm and feels secure again. The grip is comfortable and it restored the canner back to safe use. Dad is super happy and I am too since one day this will be passed down to me. Very glad this was availble and it worked so well.
I am very pleasantly surprised at the price on these handles as replacement parts for canners in general tend to be outrageously high. These are good quality and the price was reasonable. My canners are so old I live in fear of a breakdown during a critical canning process so am very happy to have replacement parts nearby. The color is a bit different (black instead of the original brown), but that's okay and just a minor quibble.Overall, I'm very pleased with these and of course, they're a cinch to put on.
This item doesn't work for a replacement parts. It has to have two of the screws, because of being to short to work. Bad quality and design for some reason. I wouldn't have bought it if I had known this before hand.
